What Look Do You Want for Your Primarch?

Recommended Posts

Hey gang. Now that we have a handful of primarchs out there in the wild with a general idea of how they will be posed and equipped, I wondered if anyone had any expectations for how their favorite unreleased primarch will get represented. For example, I want to see Dorn standing at attention, not in the midst of combat, armed with his trademark massive bolter and chainsword. For Magnus, he should be in the middle of casting an enchantment of some sort or swinging his staff in a fluid way. I'm looking for descriptions like that.

You can also describe alt versions of the primarch you want. Like, what would you want to see from a corrupted Horus model at the Battle of Terra?

Well, personally my two favorite primarchs that havent been released yet are Russ and Guilliman, I would like to see each like this:

Russ: Either running/advancing or in combat, armed with his sword either aiming it at something or swinging it. A very warrior look.

Guilliman: A regal look like the Horus mini, armed with either the power fists or a gladius. He needs to look like a strategist, a planner and a king.

Mortarion - a solid grounded pose to reflect his implacable nature. Carpet of dead Loyalists is optional.

Rogal Dorn - a more static, dignified pose with highly ornate armor to reflect his characterization as the Emperor's praetorian and stalwart defender of the Imperium. Perhaps with his head down in pre-battle contemplation and his hands on his chainsword.

Leman Russ and Magnus the Red - a diorama in the same vein as the Ferrus Manus and Fulgrim duel.

Roboute Guilliman - seated behind a giant desk with piles of paperwork before him, of course. :D In all seriousness, I want to see him as Neil Roberts depicted him on the cover of Know No Fear - punching Word Bearers to death on the hull of his flagship.

Sanguinius - a pose similar to that of Fulgrim, with his wings spread out and his face in tranquil fury. Preferably locked in battle against Bloodletters.

And finally, I want a miniature of Perturabo fiddling with that model Warhound of his. :P

For Perturabo I want him standing upright with his hammer raised behind his head and ready to bring down onto somebody, like astorath but legs braced.

For Sanguinius I think it would be cool if he was posed like the sanguinor, arm outstretched and head upwards, or else landing on a poor soul with his wings fully outstretched.

For Corax I think he should be in mid flight as well, but spinning and swinging his claws, with his hair wrapping around his face in a very dynamic way.

For Curze I just think it would be cool if he was dragging around a corpse.

M2C, I haven't read that, so if you could elaborate.

For me, Sang is all about the wings. I don't like to much of the art with him standing around looking pretty. I want aggressive, coming at you, weapons drawn. About the only version I like of him standing around the fan art of him at the Gate in full armor and helmet on.

Pert, I'd like to see some Angron, Hulk Smash, pose. Just a pissed of Primarch losing it.

Leman Russ and Magnus the Red - a diorama in the same vein as the Ferrus Manus and Fulgrim duel.

If Simon Egan has his way, that's what we'll get (based on his comments at Gamesday 2013).

I think we should get multiples of Sanguinius (which Forge World have said many times is a possibility with some primarchs). I want one of The Angel. Serene, calm, wings outstretched, the embodiment of the Emperor's grace like Horus describes him in Horus Rising. And I want one of Sanguinius nearly consumed by the Red Thirst, standing before the gates of the palace rending traitors apart, with damaged wings and blackened eyes.

For Corax I think he should be in mid flight as well, but spinning and swinging his claws, with his hair wrapping around his face in a very dynamic way.

That definitely for Corax

Russ should be wet leopard charging and doing a wet leopard roar

I'm kind of hoping that Dorn has one shoulder forward and down a bit, like he's about to Kool-aid Man the heck out of a wall. Brick wall, ship wall, shield wall. Whichever.

I'm rather hoping that Russ shows off some of his feral nature. Guilliman is pugilisting the :cuss out of the empty space in front of him.

I'm just rather hoping they don't show Sanguinius or Corax like they do jump-pack Legionnaires. I get that they are meant to show them in the act of landing or taking off, but it just doesn't do anything for me.

I'd like three versions of Horus.  One with sword-and-talon in white, wolf-themed armor, to represent him during the Crusade.  The current model, which represents him post-Ullanor/early Heresy.  And one where he is completely twisted and empowered by all the powers of Chaos - probably in a duel diorama with the Emperor.

ETA: Russ' model should come with Freki and Geri.

I hope you felt dirty writing that.

For Mortarion, I think we're all too used to seeing someone coughTyphuscough double-hand swinging a scythe.  I personally think he'd be better of in a shooting pose, with the scythe held off to the side while his other arm is holding the Lantern as he aims it at something.
