Its the second time I see a conversion with that mini and I need to do it, it looks brutal. EDIT: And I just realized the conversion for the techmarine is based on the FW iron hands. The first pose on that chaplain model is just seething with pent-up rage and menace -- I'd definitely go for that one! And while it's already a rather lovely kitbash, I think you should add some kind of iron halo-ish decoration behind his head in order to get rid of that deep recess created by combining torso pieces that normally don't belong together. Modelling: Brilliant, painting: awesome, idea: genius. Are they regular marines with flame effects (because as Ash says in Alien, "most animals retreat from fire") to scare the nids? Same warp weirdness as the Legion of the Dammned? Something to do with certain members of the chapter being found alive on Nid ships? I have a slight idea for it, which you can totally disregard :D, how about painting the base of it white and blending it up to the purple? I kind of changed the chaplains pose again lol Basically his right leg will be 'up' resting on a dead stealer. I need to get a hold of some death warden legs so keep an eye out when I manage to get some. I'll have two scouts finished tomorrow and that LOTD so keep an eye out tomorrow ladies and gents. @midnight runner: definitely bro, I made a start on that way on the flames last night so keep an eye out tomorrow Again thank you for the comments and critique. I really like your scythes. Your kitbashing and posing skills are impressive, to say the least. Not to mention your painting. I'm especially impressed by your LotD marines. Very nice. I know it's hard to make skull marine helmets from regular skulls, but you've pulled it off nicely. Might I ask what skulls you used and where you got them? So after a few years of service 25 of the 40 marines return but them 25 bring with them 25 TDA suits they was issued in their service in the death watch as well as bringing all 40 suits of power armour back... So 25 death watching issue TDA So would you think GK shoulder pads on the left side would look out of place? Any comments are welcome as always....
