Týr
I am going to order some cataphractii terminator soon and I would like to ask how do you equip them? Any favourites? and any loadouts you have exerienced are better than others? I was considering giving them all Power fists and a single chainfist and volkite chargers. Ishagu
5 combi weapons, 4 power fists, chain fist.. Hard hitting in shooting and assault. 5 combi plasmas can really ruin someone's day before you charge! Personally I'm not a fan of Volkyte weapons... Kilofix
For 30K I'm going for numbers - like at least 20; so I've gone basic with Combi-Bolter, Power Axes, + 1 Chainfist per 10. Now for 40K I go Combi-Plasma, Power Mauls, a Power Sword, a Chainfist per 5. DuskRaider
Don't forget, Terminators in 30K can take Volkite Chargers. I personally have one squad setup like this with Power Fists and 2x Plasma Blasters. TheForgottenAngel
I usually equip a squad of 10 with 5 Power Swords, 3 Poweraxes, 2 Chainfists and 2 Autocannons. Redundancy for the chainfists as they typically are the biggest threat to LR Spartans and the Autocannons are great for taking on light armor. I usually walk them up midfield to hold an objective or assault some dug in unit holding an objective. I highly suggest magnetizing the arms if you are patient enough. Moonstalker
I usually favor 5 Combiplasma, 4 power axes, and 1 chainfist, both with wolf guard in 40k and with terminators in 30k. I really like softening up enemy terminators or MCs with the combiplasma before the charge, to give me the edge I need with my cheap melee loadout. One guy with a plasma blaster (or assault cannon) instead of a combiplasma is also nice. The biggest PITA is just getting the right weapons from FW, though. If you're only going to buy and use the stuff from one weapon kit, just get the powerfist set and go for 4 fists/1 chainfist/5 combibolters. It's not worth buying a power axe set + 2 special weapon sets for all the weapon bits you'd need my preferred loadout. Terimus
Me personally as a Night Lords player have found that lightning claws are really nice to have, since it cuts through power armor and gets the re-rolls on the to wound rolls Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290282-cataphractii-terminator-loadout/#findComment-3669567 Share on other sites
