not wanting to be the bearer of bad news but because of the faq/errata, the deathwing sarge is locked with the storrm bolter/power sword setup. so that full th/ss squad is not legal, thus not a valid entry pinch.gif

you can vow the squad as a deathwing command squad however, and that would make it valid again thumbsup.gif

I, Bryan Blaire, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete one Stoneburners' version of Belial (name pending) and one Deathwalker (Stoneburners' Deathwing) Command Squad (armed w/Halberd of Caliban, Apothecary, Deathwalker Company Banner w/Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield, Plasma Cannon and Chainfist, and Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield) from the Dark Angels Codex totaling a value of 520 points on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal glory to the Unforgiven Legion and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until year-end.

Legit question: if I ran an Int-Chappy in TDA with the unit as it's personal command squad would the five TH/ SS work?

@ Bryan: Now that the stone Burners have arrived I feel much more comfortable! :D Take your time mate - I look forward to see those exquiiste poses taking life with exquisite painting! :D

 

@ Politix: Looks good - a very large amount of Termies there... However I need you to give me an accurate points cost. The Sergeant may be locked with storm bolter and power sword but there is no problem making one TH & SS termie "count-as" having the correct load-out. So although the actually mini will carry a TH & SS it will be costed as a proper Sergeant. But please give me a definitive points cost...

You can actually vow a Command Squad - even without a Chaplain. Although this is primarily aimed for people that want to do the Champion and the banner and such but the answer is yes. Any model in the DW Command can have a TH and SS... If that's all they take they cost 245pts (as a Command Squad). As a normal DW squad they'll cost 240 (provided the Sergeant cannot be upgraded - although I have to look at the eratta because the Codex says it's fine).

 

Anyway I need a total for the entire vow - not just the squad. I have calculated at 655 but not entirely sure I have done this correctly. If you're not near your Codex maybe another brother can help out?

Updated my vow with the pic of the assembled and primed model (here)

 

To be honest, it also has the first stage of preshading, but its just some black from the "under" angle...managed to lay all the greys for the concrete and started working on the golds this weekend...if all goes well, it should be finished by the end of month.

brothers after much assembling & waiting on 2 sets of d-wing heads I will be making my vow when those heads arrive as I want to do just 1 vow(as headless terminators don't count & shouldn't lol)...so expect a 2k+ vow in a few days(waiting for mail order stuff is annoying,lol least all my paints & everything else is ready)(vow will be made before end of month easily though)keep it up everyone good looking models & paint jobs...

  1. Chaos does NOT win the ETL III competition; AND
  2. TanHausen has send me a terminator to be used as a casualty on my titan base,

that I will construct and paint a power armoured casualty from my own company and send it to TanHausen to be used on one of his walker bases. TanHausen has the right to give me leading dimensions concerning the surface this casualty shall lay on, as well as on the extent of the damage the Night Lord marine has suffered. I will write a back-story for this victim, and consult TanHausen about possible tie-ins with his fluff. I swear this by my pride and that of my brothers.

I'd also love to vow more, but I have a thesis deadline coming up which unfortunately has priority at the moment. I'm halfway through my first vow now, but haven't had a lot of time to continue yet.

When I do finish my thesis however, I have plenty of kits ready for assembly and paint biggrin.png
