excellent work everyone.

not looking good for me here.   I have my tac squad complete but need a little more time on the terminators, librarian and dread.  

We have a tropical storm that is turning into a hurricane headed here Friday / Saturday - according to forecasters. 

Regardless Hurricane prep is underway today and tomorrow.  My wife is moving her studio into my office, which means my toys go into the closet to make room.

 

I'm going to try to sneak some painting time in - but it won't be pretty.   What's the bare min to qualify as "finished"?   3 colors?  table-top standard?

Don't want to let the chapter down!

I JeffJedi, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete a Predator Annihilator from Codex: Dark Angels of total value 140 points on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal glory to Dark Angels and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

Well, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but at the moment it's looking like I'll be bearing the badge of shame. Between my newborn, overtime and much necessary renovations to my house, the last 3 months have disappeared.

 

My models are so close, it's just the final details now. But I wouldn't be happy with just base colours, and I won't submit sub-par models. Hopefully next years ETL will see me better prepared. Sorry everyone

Stobz... NICE rides dude. I gotta favour to ask... My Dark Angels do not have a completed Landraider, and the boys wanted to hit some of the bars on Rigel VII. Would it be okay if borrowed one for the weekend pass? (It would have to be a crusader so we could fit some fine ladies in it.)

Seriously though, did you do those all at once? And it looks like 2 raiders, and 2 crusaders. Any thoughts on trying one of the other variants out?

Well, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but at the moment it's looking like I'll be bearing the badge of shame. Between my newborn, overtime and much necessary renovations to my house, the last 3 months have disappeared.

 

Unfortunately I am going to join you in the badge of shame.

 

Family and personal illness have taken their toll and even a last ditch painting marathon is not enough.

Bethor - we all have our standards, but everything counts!  3 colour minimum and you're done!  You can strip them next week and repaint to your satisfaction

VOW 3 Complete!

I wanted to spend so much time with these guys, but I had to rush it at the end or else there was no way I was going to finish otherwise, and I wasn't going to let my brothers down by voiding my previous vows!!!

Just so glad I got these done.

Dude, comeon! Chaos had a guy who completed 17k by himself! IN a single vow. This is a competition about completions and points. Not about who has the best paint job. The spirit of the competion is to starting painting things that you otherwise would not have. 3 colors an say your done, you can make them pretty later. 

 

To quote a man who knows something about getting things done... "losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and ___ the prom queen." Your queen is already at home. your a winner. Just put paint to brush and submit a pic. Lets punch those chaos boys right in their smirking mutated mouths.

I was originally thinking about doing all my RWBKs on those bikes, but after the experience of bashing them together I think I will keep them just for Sammael's escort as an homage to Corvex being heresy era as well.  The space marine biker legs are just a hair too short and the packs just a little to tight to be comfortable.  Overall I am happy with the results, but I will let Sammael have his special 30k bikers all to himself  :)

Polythemus, quoting "The Rock" just inspired me hahaha. I'll slap the colors on when I get home. It won't be pretty, but if it helps the Unforgiven it'll get done!
