Semper any chance i can knock off 2 Lords?The models arent stripping and that for the most part is what is holding me back from completing my vow

What you trying to strip and what have you tried?

not taking the bait......

I have the 3/13 WL's with Twin WC which are resin bones minis.theyve been soaking since the start of ETL.only one is close to being done enough to repaint.

If the Lords are beyond salvation and the frater cannot offer any alternative advice on stripping technique (Forte behave) then I'll classify this as an accident and let you alter the vow downwards. But I'm not doing this lightly... You really have to see what other things you can do before you throw in the towel on them...

What have you been soaking them in?

whoops thought i put that in my reply.Im soaking them in Simple Green.

Try soaking in this stuff (after washing all of the Simple Green off). You can find it in the automotive aisle at your nearest Walmart. This stuff works great, and I've used it various resins and plastics with no issues. Leave overnight, and you can wash the paint off and lightly scrub with an old toothbrush to get the rest out of the nooks and crannies.

I shall try Valerians suggestion and any others then.thank you for allowing me to adjust if all else fails.so i guess my old pack brother is misbehaving?

Super Clean and purple power (i think purple power may be cheaper) are the best I've found to strip models.

 

I started with Simple Green, but $$$ and mixed results had me to change to the above.

Update on my third vow:

First completed is Wulfen and Flamer Hunters.

And yes yes, I know I still haven't got the drill yet to make holes in my guns, just bear with me until I fulfil my first competitive list.

My next WIP, another flamer. I'm slightly ashamed to say that except for the combat knife and head, all the rest of the parts are spares from the Reclusiasum squad. gotta use them for something, may as well be a double handed weapon where since its blocking the chest, its not so important to show the chest details.

@ Tommie Soule - the Imperial Knight is looking quite nice. Can't wait for you to Wolfify it. Colour scheme for the skeletal structure looks great so far. Hope you will use Fenrisian Grey for the main armour plates later. That and the red you are using will do very nicely IMHO.

Also, suggest you use the super melta gun, looks slightly more awesome than the battle cannon.

Second Vow:

I Leif Bearclaw answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete 4 Lone Wolves from Codex Space Wolves of total value 310 points on or before August 1st.

Success will bring eternal glory to The Rout and the Company of Jarl Stormwolf, failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

Breakdown:

2 Lone Wolves with Chainfist, Storm Shield and TDA: 170

Lone Wolf with 2 Wolf Claws and TDA: 65

Lone Wolf with Wolf Claw, Chainfist and TDA: 75
