I, Brother Crazywolf, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete a venerable dreadnought from The Space Wolf codex of 170 total value of points on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal joy to The Vlka Fenryka and failure will doom me bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

 

 

Venerable Dreadnought with multimelta, close combat weapon with stormbolter, and wolf tail talisman 170 pts.

A kinda penance vow for me is a bet with my corrupted pack brother forte. I need to paint 9k for ETL or I have to paint a chaos warband,dont know if you want to put it in the penance section or not just thought id share

Ummm not good,doing a quick inventory i only have maybe (including current vow) 6k depending on how i vow em :/ really need to order some more.on the penance part I have an idea for a warband devil.gif

Hi Mactire, not that I want to put you down, but I think you need to work on your models poses. They don't quite look dynamic in movement, especially the one with hammer and powerfist. Axe guy looks cool but I suggest making him cross his axes together. Claws should be outstretched forward, not downward. As for Flamer and Assault cannon termies, they look odd carrying a shield and heavy weapon. It's your models and up to you how you want to do them, but I don't think a shield bearing gunner looks menacing. 

 

Just my two cents, hope you don't take offence from them.

 

None taken my man, none take. That's what the forum is for, an exchange of views. I agree on the TH/PF guy, I've changed him a bit and hopefully the finished model looks better. The others I have reasons for, first the TWC guy is going to be one of four CC bodyguards for my WL. They will enter by DP and I picture this guy strolling down the ramp waiting for someone to attack him or else him looking for a suitable challenge, between the five of them there will be a mix of static and moving poses. The axe guy is also part of this squad and is still a WIP, forgot to mention one of them glued till painting is done so changes possible up to last minute.

                     The reason behind the shield's is twofold, one as a points boost for the ETL (hahaha) and the other is for squad harmony. I've painted up two nine man packs with FW boarding shields and have these two leading them from Assault Rams in boarding actions hence the shields and sensor equipped helmets on both the PA and TDA models. Hopefully when they're done they'll look ok. But as always any C&C welcome.

Where is this mystical tavern that people get barred from?!?

Well I'd better get my finger out, I have returned after my long trek across the torturous wastes of Asaheim!! (Well back in blighty after a summer family holiday tongue.png ) And ready to get some work hammered in with this vow I have made.

Brothers,

This is a sad day as our most iconic Brother Argos has decided to step down.

His post announcing his decision can be found here: Brother Argos steps back

This has been a difficult decision for him given how much he has put into this community over the years in terms of time and effort and of course money.

Now as our paymaster steps back it's time for the frater that frequent and enjoy this forum to step forward and try to fill in the gap in order to keep the B&C running smoothly.

You will notice a donation button in the top left hand corner of the home page. If you want the B&C to survive do not turn your back to it now. Any amount is welcome, the B&C survival depends on that!

Quick update.

Wolves mostly done, first layer of basic colours down on almost all of them, furs received a quick wash done, next up is highlights and start the riders.
