The Mechanicum is called again to aid the armies of the Imperium, to support the billions of the Imperial Guard and the elite Imperial Agencies… At your disposal you have the ancient constructs from the time of the Heresy led by ancient Magi that will guide them to ultimate victory. Welcome to ETL III and the Adeptus Mechanicus Strategium! Here is the home for those who want to participate in the ETL putting their weight behind the mighty engines of the Mechanicum of Mars! The Mechanicum can draw its resources from among the AdMech Horus Heresy units as described in Forgeworld’s Imperial Armour and Horus Heresy books. The Mechanicum will have the full backing of the Imperial armies and agencies, so expect the support of the mighty Imperial Guard, the devout Adepta Sororitas and the purest of soul Grey Knights. All those forums will stand as one to face their rivals, and win the day!
 
 
NOTE: If you want to do Dark Mechanicum and vow for Chaos instead of the Mechanicum, you need to do that with units that explicitly state they can be used in conjunction with the Chaos Codex. I think this will allow people to play in character.

So what purpose does the Strategium serve? Well, its official function includes the following:

  • Post vows & declare completions. This is very important as placing the vows elsewhere will create unnecessary confusion and lead to mistakes. Also if you do not report the completion here, your status will not be updated.
  • Participation tables. Here I will be updating the rosters of participation so make sure you see your name is listed and that your status is correct - and if not, notify me. Furthermore, given the diversity of the Angels of Death faction, I will group all participants according to the forum of origination.
  • Post your pictures. Remember, we need at least two – one “before” and one “after” but feel free to post as many WIP pictures as you like!
  • Weekly updates. This is where I’ll be posting every week an update of the event in general so the frater can keep track of what is going on in the wider picture.
  • You are also welcome to use this thread to encourage each other, devise strategies, discuss the developments of the ETL and of course ask questions. For the latter you can also PM me.

I, CommodusXIII, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete a Knight Paladin from Codex: Imperial Knights of total value 375 on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal glory to the Fraterri Fidelis and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

That is a most impressive machine, Commodus. Consider sending it to us for deconstruction and analysis.

 

The lack of submissions here is disappointing. I will be able to contribute something of value soon, and though it will be somewhat lacking (in quality and quantity) compared to many of the existing entries to this event, it will still succeed in moving the grand total of users contributing here beyond one.

I was planning on using the Taghmata Omnissiah section from Extermination as the basis for my purchases and army lists. There's a Magos Dominus and a couple of Thallax Cohorts on the way currently (it shouldn't be too long until I have them). I might be in a position to make multiple vows, depending on proceedings, of course.

Brothers,

This is a sad day as our most iconic Brother Argos has decided to step down.

His post announcing his decision can be found here: Brother Argos steps back

This has been a difficult decision for him given how much he has put into this community over the years in terms of time and effort and of course money.

Now as our paymaster steps back it's time for the frater that frequent and enjoy this forum to step forward and try to fill in the gap in order to keep the B&C running smoothly.

You will notice a donation button in the top left hand corner of the home page. If you want the B&C to survive do not turn your back to it now. Any amount is welcome, the B&C survival depends on that!
