Got all the pieces set aside to create a Raptor Squad(5 strong), a Centurion(Legion Champ with Jump Pack to accompany the Raptors) and a Primus Medicae w/Volkite Charger to have some fun with the Terror Squad!  Pics will come in once I start assembly.  Vow #3 is going to be a doozie!

That looks pretty good, how are you doing the green?

black basecoat

roughly a 50/50 mix of white scar and vallejo german camo dark green

heavy wash of nuln oil

another coat of the green, without painting the crevices

small amounts of nuln oil applied where needed, to give the impression of wear and tear

 

I also used a sponge to apply iron breaker so it would seem as though the paint is starting to chip off.

@ Demon2027: That's a great looking Rampager. I like the use of the Mark II helm. The default Rampager heads have always seemed... odd to me. 

 

@ Chaplain Mortis: What's in the pipe for this week, brother? I'm presently working on my Cataphractii Terminators with the special weapons pack. You see, I drank the TDA kool-aid...

Vow number 2 is on its way. Just need to take stock of what I have. One major question though: are storm ravens a valid unit in the heresy, and if not, what could I use it for?

@ Tears of the Raven: Congratulations for your completion! Regarding the Strom Raven, it's a tricky one... As far as I can remember, the Heresy flyers are considerably larger so counting as one of them may not be fair to those who actually build on those... What I have done in the past (with the SWs) is to count it as a Land Raider... Unless you have another suggestion, I'd go with that. Let me know...

Nice idea to use the Tempest instead of the Javelin... May have to do that as it is a much, much cooler model!

You'd think... Actually the Javelin is really cool up close and personal - not that difficult to build and certainly a joy to paint!

Oh geez, heathens has his first tank! Chainfist tht dang thing! Lol. Very nice looking! And awesome version of the Javelin, it suits the IW's looks, brutal and seemingly graceless ;) . I prefer the smoother/sleek one for my NLs, which funny enough is cleaned and getting ready for assembly!
