Dolchiate Remembrancer
Thread Necromancy! Just bringing this back up to attention. I recently got back into painting those assault marines and got a lot done. I'll try and get a pic of them for this shortly. For Sanguinius and the Emperor! oldschoolsavant
Best way to meld two swords is to cut diagonally, lots of poly cement to melt appropriately, and then file down to smooth. The eye looks for straight cuts, but diagonals are easy to pass off. Aside from the hilt/right arm giving a squinty vibe, needing TLC, I would run with the bloodstained purity seal idea. Brother Dallo
I thought they might be to conceal the cuts. Still, nothing screams Imperium like a 7 foot long blood splattered, gore covered chainsaw-death-sword-revered-relic. Keep up the good work. mactire
Nice work on the assault squads, I like the two tone helmets, it's different but very eye catching. Also nice posing on the honour guard. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290405-the-repainting/page/2/#findComment-3959124 Share on other sites

Brother Dallo
I like number two. It's bold, and if you're not overly keen on freehand, it's not overly complex. mactire
Number 3. With red background, white feathers around a gold cup. Maybe yellowish gold to match the facial pattern on the helms. Dolchiate Remembrancer
Well that's two for the first one(and as I plan to be using the honor guard with my counts as Seth who on my DIY Fluff is my only Tactical Reserve Company Captain) If I go for the first boys, what colors? My friend suggested that for the shoulder pads I should go with a simple black feather look but as I have more creative freedom on the banner...what say you? Also, my mind is yet to be made up. So swing me guys and gals! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290405-the-repainting/page/2/#findComment-3969042 Share on other sites
