I've begun my Imperial Fists Sentinels of Terra army. Critiques and comments appreciated.

I think I prefer their Chapter Tactics to the standard IF ones. I rarely shoot bolter weapons at long range, so the close ranged bolter drill essentially twin links all my tactical squads the turn they dismount and fire. The elite grav centurions are fun too.

I do however miss the standard C:SM relics, especially the shield eternal.

Yeah I do miss the shield eternal. My idea is to use a Chapter Master in Terminator armor as a meat shield for my dev squad. TH/SS of course

Looks good. I think the key to imperial fists lies in weathering them so they look worn and dirty rather than gleaming and banana-ish.

I agree about the worn look. I've only shaded them a bit to get rid of the neon yellow look.

Looking VERY good so far, I love the yellow you used and how it turned out. Did you have any trouble with the waterslide transfers, though? How'd you manage to get them on the curved surface?

Wicked, I like your painting style and details like the scorches on some of the weapons. I fully agree that weathering would really make the marines stand out, looking awesome, I'll follow your progress

Thanks everyone. For the decals I used micro sol to soften and position them. Then I brushed micro set over the decal until it rested in its final position.

I'd try it if I could get my hands on it lol. Everyone I talk to seems to say that microset/sol is the secret.

You just have to be delicate and patient with the solutions. It doesn't instantly bond you have to lightly brush over it many times until it adheres. I spray it with testors decal bonder afterwards.
