Just need to clean up a few moldlines I missed and they'll all be ready for their undercoat. Really motivated right now, which is great and should yield some good results if all goes well

Thanks mate :) I'm going with a lighter blue and with the 2nd or the 3rd Company, still undecided ;)

Whilst I have a preference for Fourth Company (the colour and not Ventris - I neither like nor dislike him, but let's not go there...), I haven't seen that many Third Company Marines either

I'm for the 3rd too. Red looks really nice on Ultras'.

How about 5th? I think I have only ever seen 1 army in the colours of the 5th and if you work it right the black/blue combination can be great. If not, the either 2nd or 3rd.

Also, 3rd Company, for reasons I mentioned in another thread and because we're allied to the Templars this year and red is the colour of ZEAL.

Nothing painted, but I thought I'd update with something unpainted anyway since I just don't have any time to get the paints and brushes out right now (end of year revision and exams, etc). Received my first Forge World order recently and after much washing, mask-finding, mask-fitting, scraping, cutting, filing, dry-fitting and gluing, I got this chap. Not sure what he'll be painted up as, but it'll probably be a Raven Guard (as always, never sure).

Been a bit busy with school recently, but I took the afternoon off and painted this chap:

My painting is still a bit rusty, so it took longer than expected to get to this stage. I need to finish off the details (ie. everything that's not the armour and the eye lenses), so he probably won't be finished before the end of the week. If I manage to stick to the same paint scheme, he should have some squad mates by the end of next month ;)

Really happy with the progress I've made and there's not much left to do before he's finished! And yes, the bolter casing is brown, as it is supposed to be. If you disagree, go check out the latest Space Marine Codex on page 30 ;)

Anaziel: Yeah, I've been waiting to use it for a long, long time. It's from the Ultramarines Honour Guard, IIRC.

 

dss7: That's basically what they are, isn't it? :lol: But then again, can you really blame me for changing my mind again? I mean, I just went a bit further down the "3rd Company" road, that's all :P

 

Aquilanus: To be honest, I haven't seen any (well, except those from DP's aborted project), so it's high time there's one on the B&C! :)
