7th Edition=Repentia!

Well, I tried Repentia in a Land Raider yesterday. I used a wonky Unbound list of "all the Blood Angel and SoB units I had painted" just because, then found room for a LR from my CSM collection just to give the girls a ride.

Now, I won the game, but I feel like the Repentia didn't really do anything that any other assault unit couldn't have done better since I had no vehicles to really send them toward. The LR itself did more for me by drawing fire. Since I had better Anti-tank options with my ranged weaponry I don't think the Repentia really justified themselves in the long run.

Unless I know an opponent is going to bringing a Leman Russ parking lot, I really don't see them in my lists unless I am just looking to spend points in a large no-allies type game. Which is too bad, because I love my Repentia squad models.

You can't hold it against them saying they didn't do much because they had no targets.

Its like saying that Batman can't fight crime when there is not real crime for him to fight thats larger then J walking. :P

At days end you put them into HQ units, Terminators, Tanks, Super Heavies or huge combat blocks.

If they don't have them use them where you can, at days end you can't plan the army you will fight.

Today I played my Repentia against a Grey Knight Unbound list which was almost the perfect setup for the girls, what withmy opponent's units being a Landraider, a Dreadknight and a bunch of Terminators. He also rolled invisibility on his Termie Libby too.

I ran the Repentia with Jacobus for the 5++, and kept them hidden behind my wall of rhino troops to bait him out. Ended up smashing the Terminators in one round, every Repentia died by the end of the game as usual, but they performed well and I'm happy I chose them!
