Well I hope she's got good insurance to cover that. That's horrible luck to get your house hit like that, especially with all your models and such.

 

 

I love how they didn't mention nearly anything about the house owners (you) and how they felt. I'd be pretty pissed.

 

Didn't someone else in our community just have a horrible house fire that destroyed all their models?

There's a reason why I store all my finished models in my gun safe next to my real-life bolters in the garage until I have a display cabinet built for my bedroom on the third floor (townhouse). I have too much money and (more importantly) time invested in my FW goodies to have anything bad happen to them. 

 

Awful to hear about such a freak accident, considering how stoked Jasp was about building his own Titan Legion. Hopefully insurance works out in his favor.

@kizzdougs- yeah it's a :cussty situation but I just found my original visions of heresy in the bedroom rubble pile and a lot of my books I had ontop of the bedroom dresser are gone so it's a matter of finding this woman to see how insured she is because if it's not full comprehensive im not going to be able to get a lot of this stuff back.

@battle8rother- the lady and I are fine we just have lost a third of our freshly renovated home and it's looking to be a 3 month rebuild as there going to demo half the house to rebuild so right now we have a pile of clothes from the laundry saved, the misses has one work outfit and a pair of jeans and I have 3 pairs of work jeans a hoodie and 2 in hearts wake tshirts. I'm very very pissed off and ready to hit the next person who says that poor woman I hope she's okay

 

@DepthCharge- seems the world has it in for us heresy enthusiasts, don't worry as long as the 84yr old bitch is fine nothing matters not the couple that have lost half a house to structural damage and now have there lives in limbo for the next 6months till we can get back on top and can't find the bitch that caused all this.

 

As long as she's fine it's all that matters.

So one warhound has survived luckily was at the other end of the house and I've got the bits for my new WE praetor but other than that I'm out of crap.

Not sure how Australian laws work, but here in the states, if that woman's car insurance company didn't cover it all, you can sue the hell out of her or her caretaker for being negligent. Because let's face it - what is an 84-year-old doing driving by her self?

Edit- the worst thing about all this is the stress on the family everyone's arguing and on edge because one persons actions destroyed our home.

 

The misses isn't happy as I've tried to use the hobby to destress (just slapping together ideas)

Dont the police do a report and take stuff like insurance details so you can get in contact with her and her insurers.

The police won't release her details to us as the reports not finished (the woman's still in hospital from shock) so we can't get started on anything till we can contact her.

 

It's a stressful situation as we just want to get on with life.

 

I've been to her house and tried contacting her but until she's out if hospital we can't proceed. She's 84 living by herself so chances aren't great on getting things resolved quickly.

 

Assesors been out documented everything and given us an idea of time and cost but it's not looking easy.

That's the worst bit her neighbours who gave us some contact info said she was handing her license in at the end of the year, I don't blame her but this all could have been avoided but she choose to hang into her license.

 

I'm a road worker and I attend these accidents all the time I see the damage elderly people can cause and I do my best to build safe roads.

 

It's just karma that someone who does my job gets this :cuss happen.

Aye try to keep the chin up - I know it's far from that easy, but hopefully it'll work out right ish - but as relict mentioned even here in Blighty the person who caused the damage has to cover, their insurance aims to cover most but the courts tend to put through a request for far more (that said you tend to have to claim on your insurance prior to getting anything back from the person who caused it - case in point; my brother's car got smashed into with his missus & kids yet they had to pay for repairs as the claim hasn't finished going through yet and that's 2 months ago...).

 

Guess what I'm trying to say is if Ya'll need help then let us know brother.

Those three are looking really nice - especially the first one, has an almost lazy way of carrying the excoriator but in a pose reminiscent of a headsman/executioner.
