WarriorFish
I'm afraid you're too late to join the ETL, but we'll be eager to see your progress all the same :) Good luck with your game tomorrow, let us know how it goes. WarriorFish
It's a once a year event, there's no guarantees it'll come again of course but I think it's a safe bet ;) Either way it's far enough away for you not to need worry about it, so keep on working on your army and most important of all keep us updated on it :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3726729 Share on other sites
Spaniard
How do I get photo to show up on the post instead of the folder that I have on this one Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3726986 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
If you want to put a photo from your gallery straight into a post go to the picture's page and click "Options" in the top right. It's one of the big red buttons you can't miss it, then select "Share links" at the bottom of the pop up menu. You'll be presented with choices of how you want to use the link, the top one can be copied and pasted straight into your post for a picture with a link to the source For example: [img=http://image.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads/gallery/album_9560/gallery_30308_9560_39528.jpg] Let me know if you need any more help. Arkaniss
A fledgling Guardsmen army! Nice work and I am a tad envious of the journey you are starting, but I have enough armies as it is. I'm a fan of Autocannons so that HWT looks awesome, ready to batter the enemies of the Emperor. Any chance of a colour scheme picture? I assuming they will be red but I'd like to see! So for blurry pic the camera i took the picture with isn't all that great Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3727618 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
That's a good colour scheme, I like it :) Have you given the fatigues a wash? That's always a great way to add definition with little effort on Guardsmen. As far as I'm aware there isn't a way to change the image dimensions when posting them, so it's best to do it in an image editing program before uploading. Smaller files are kinder on people's internet too. Spaniard
I haven't done a wash yet what you recommend I'm thinking about nuhn oil I am think that's what it is called. I will edit future pics I don't want to slow down anyones computer Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3728153 Share on other sites
Arkaniss
I like it! Definitely get a few washes on it to make it pop and work on the base too. That will really help the model look great. Perhaps Carroberg Crimson Shade for the Red and Drakenhof Nightshade for the grey? Oh and Reikland Fleshshade for the fleshy parts and Nuln Oil the Lasgun to the Warp and back. WarriorFish
The picture is fine, but it may be an issue if you post up quite a few in a single topic :) I agree with Arkaniss on the washes, give them a test and see what you think. When in doubt Nuln Oil and Agrax Earthshade are always washes to consider :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3728290 Share on other sites
Spaniard
I deff dont want to slow down any computers with big pictures. What wash would you recommend, i was thinking nuhn oil. I think thats how it is typed. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3728420 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
I like Nuln Oil a good wash for darkening things but it's not quite a "catch all" colour like Agrax is. I think on your grey it could work nicely, but the Drakenhof Nightshade Arkaniss recommends might be better. It depends on what colour you want your fatigues to look at the end, you could always test it on the legs for example and repaint if you don't like it? Nuln Oil is great for metallics though such as the Lasguns. I use Agrax on tank tracks to give them a slightly dirtier/machine part look compared to Nuln Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292808-88th-red-storm-regiment-vownew-army/#findComment-3728469 Share on other sites
