Angrypantz
I had tried posting this a couple of times but each time I wrote it out it became gibberish pretty quickly. I had an idea for a space marine chapter of my own making that would follow some of the styles laid out in Codex Angels of Death for the Blood Angels but I wanted my own twist to it. The difficult thing was finding a chapter symbol that was ready to use in different colours (I looked and there really wasn't that many). I haven't got a name for them yet and for all intents and purposes this will be an army that will be used for whatever comes to mind at the time (Blood Angels, Codex Chapters, Space Wolves, etc) whilst other projects steam along at their own pace (funds restrict the speed of those and in one case the lack of a box set actually exsisting [looking at you chaos chosen]) Right, enough preamble. Below is a standard marine for this chapter, the left pad would have the chapter symbol on it as is right of any space marine chapter, the difficult part is the squad type, markings and company markings. I could use helmet colour to denounce squad type but what colours would go well and would this be borrowing too much from one specific type of chapter. Things that I feel I should point out, I can barely green stuff, don't feel confident enough to print my own decals for squad type markings and I cannot freehand. I know I should take this opportunity to practice these things but I have little time at the moment looking after my son whilst my wife works. Below is the Sergeant colours along with the variant chapter symbol that goes with his shoulder pads. Any ideas that the community has will be greatly appreciated. helterskelter
Print these out shoulder pad size, cut out the wings, use as a stencil and boom, insta wings. Maybe? Though I'd be sure to keep spot colours less imperial fisty, maybe include a variance on the colour change helm ala BA? Angrypantz
Those I can use the Blood Angel symbol and just remove the tear with a sharp blade before applying to the pad. However the stencil idea should work in other areas. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293378-angels-of-death/#findComment-3737627 Share on other sites
