It wasn't so much about hiding the progenoids from the Guardsman, though that was certainly part of it, (and I don't think poor Reikert would have any idea what he was seeing anyway) so much as it was an intensely private moment. I don't think they would let even a Marine from another Chapter watch, if they could help it. As far as Reikert knows, he's going to go back to his squad and say "Wow those Space Marines!
