pretty awesome so far! hope he gets a tabard biggrin.png

No tabard, as my sculpting skills are near zero and I don't want to ruin the model. Besides, I've come this far without a single piece of greenstuff, so I'll just stick with that for now ;)

A is my vote. Glad to see you bringing this guy back.

Sadly, I'm not too keen on A, so B's the one that I'm rolling with. Thanks, me too :)

I like the way you think, Firepower tongue.png

Back on topic, Dosjetska that torso looks much better than the previous one.

I'm glad you like it :)

Hmm, the legs are looking a little plain. Pouches are one method, but if you want to go baroque, look into the tiny reliquaries from the Gray Knights kits. They make nice decorative pieces, and very Chaplain-y. You could also go with books, like the sort you can find in the WHFB Empire(?) range. Or bones in general. Or rozarius/cruxes. There are lots of decorative bits to choose from really smile.png

I took your advice and came up with what's below. Not 100% grimdark, but better than earlier, I think.

I still need to add at least one more purity seal, and fetch him a backpack. I'll post some pictures of suggestions a bit later on :)

I'm not typically a fan of chaplains but yours is very good. Cool pose, balanced composition, sweet helmet. Nice work!

*edit*

I read the comments about adding tabards and baroque details, but IMO he looks much better in his simplicity. Another purity seal would work fine, though, as I doubt it would overpower the model in any way.

Thanks for popping by, Biohazard :) I have a few backpacks in mind, I'll snap some pictures tomorrow and post them up for people's opinion. Funnily enough, some Ravenwing biker ones will be part of those.

A good choice of seals. A much better flow and realistic connection than you typically get with the stiffer, shorter ones. Not every Chaplain needs to be baroque from head to toe, after all. Most of the bits in the advice I gave you probably would have just turned him into my 'Godhand' Chaplain anyway, so sorry for that bit of unintentional narcissism. happy.png

The Crozius worked out well.

I'm glad you approve of the additions, Firepower. And no problem, I had no idea that you'd made your own Chaplain.

Pictures with the different backpacks I have in mind should be up tonight, if all goes well :)

This dude is great. I'm kinda sad that the crux in option A didn't work it's way into the final product - I feel like it would add some additional flavor to the model, and fluff him up a little.

"Henry is a certified Terminator, but insists on wearing regular power armor to smite the heretics - lest it not be fair."

  "That so? He said that?"

"No, brother, I'm paraphrasing. Henry said, 'I don't need no terminator armor to beat that ass.'"

I'd work the crux in some other way - blinged out addition to a shoulder pad, or even emblazoned onto his armor. Maybe on a knee pad?
