Painting Heresy Era Librarians

TBH, i would paint them all normal colours, maybe just give them a cloth hood or something to denote it. But most of them were in normal colours i think, and then they were folded back into the rank and file in most legion, so, then you could play that too.

I'm guessing the librarians in blue was something to do with the codex Astartes?

'Hey, librarians were super useful in the heresy against those daemons. Know what else is super useful? Ultramarines! Here bye all librarians wear blue.' - attributed to Roboute Guilleman of the Ultramarines legion.

I think it's more along the lines of:

"So, we're re-establishing the Librarium, but there's that whole...brain-eating.... possession.... daemon....thing that could happen, soooo... Were painting you a vibrant blue to keep track of where the heck you're at. Cuz, y'know, we trust you....and stuff..."

Ah, the Last Nineteen. I quite enjoyed their story in Betrayer as well - what a sad end they came to.

I think this guy would serve as an excellent inspiration:
