Can you place the page so I can find it? I honestly don't remember anything like that. I never remember a hard limit, just a "it typically numbers around"

In 5th we could only have up to a certain number of death company, unless Astorath was taken to unlock additional units. I believe it is on the page that specifically talks about the death company.

I was asking for conformation through the 5th edition codex and what it said. Then you wanted to engage in "discussion" about how that was wrong, when it was clearly referenced in the previous publication. You asked if I could remember the page, I gave you where a vage section as i dont fully recall it is where I thought it was; Then you immediately return by basically saying oh that's rules it doesn't count. So how did that exactly help me other than giving speculation?

Fluff question; which chapter almost always has full strength death company? Is it flesh tearers or the Angels Vermilion? Remember reading it in my 5th ed code, but now I can't seem to recall.

That's what you asked.

I said "Flesh Tearers" which is the correct answer.

You said you vaguely remember the cap on the DC, it's not vague, because there IS NO LIMIT on the death Company. It CANNOT BE FULL.

Since at least third edition, entire companies have been known to fall to the death Company.

The flesh Tearers merely have MORE death Company. Because they fall at a faster rate.

To show that I was wrong. I've found the excerpt I was looking for.

In the 5th edition codex the one unit was capped at 30 death company.

However, it states on page 54 under the Angels Encarmine that their death company rarely numbers less than 30 warriors.

So that's where the mix up was.

Today my Blood Angels received much needed reinforcements in the form of a Knight Crusader from House Hawkshroud. Unfortunately it's paint job is still pending, but atleast it is based and washed.

It is equipped with the Avenger Gatling Cannon, the Rapidfire Battlecannon and Stormspear Rocket Pod. My Angels will bring the choppy, this thing will bring the DAKKA!!

Played a game against my mate's Space Wolves today. He brought a list that utterly wrecked me last time we played (Against a scaled up version of my regular list), and I brought an Angel's Blade Strike force for the first time. Battle Demi with the Golden Host with Dante and a Stormraven Wing. And damn, the Golden Wing is brutal! Getting the +1I on the charge, and charging out of deepstrike is great. Shame you can't get them together, but I had little issue mulching through the power armour I came across.

That said, Thunderwolves and Wulfen are a difficult beast to erase. I threw 5 Guard into a squad of 3 Wulfen, and it was MAD. I killed two Thunderwolves over the course of the game, and only didn't lose more than my entire backfield because everything I had was in his back field.

Oh, just announced - on WHTV this week we have:

On Friday we are joined for a double header by special guest player Harry Scarr from the Dark Artisan youtube channel and some of his gaming group. First up at 14:00, he will be using his Blood Angels against Phil’s Tyranids and then, after the break, he’s back for more at 18:00 using his Dark Eldar against’s Tom’s Grey Knights.

An outing on WHTV!

How did the Demi do? Anything special from it's effects?

The Demi provided a lot of bodies to die and to distract, and they capped a few objectives. Beyond that, not a huge amount. Killed off a pair of Thunderwolves, took pot shots at the Wolfen, and managed to knock two hullpoints off his Stormwolf. Nothing much from the Battle Demi Company stuff itself. Though, the ABSF benefits were good. Getting Zealot below half casualties was fairly useful, although only for the Fearless aspect, as it meant the last 2 lads in a squad weren't going anywhere of their own volition, and Red Thirst globally was nice. I think a well constructed Archangels would do better, but the breadth of options there means you'd have to put a lot of thought into it, and the Demi is a relatively easy core to manage to do.

In responce to the battle demi company I've had some success using two razorbacks with 5 man tactical squad and a drop pod flamer 10 man tactical squad. Combined with two devestator squads (1 from auxiliary) and a missle lascannon dread. I take a sanguinary priest for my HQ of the angels blade detachemnt with a raven. In the raven goes the chappy from the Battle Company, along with the furioso and assault squad. This should come to around 1500ish points, just bring another formation to get to 1850, the 10th company is good but then the list doesn't feel blood angely enough.

Forgive me if that paragraph is a bit choppy, on a phone in school so...

Have any of you guys travelled in/out of the US internationally with large quantities of rare earth magnets? I got about 100 more 2x1/2x2mms spread (attached but not glued) on the marines but I don't suspect it will be a big problem, however, I am a little worried about the ten or so 1" diameter disc shape neobydiums magnets. I packed it up nicely in a box and lined up with bubble wrap to be check in, still, a little worried about what the TSA will do..

1" is pretty huge. My biggest is only 1/4 inch so 1" sounds like it can be problematic.

Not sure but I think it is worth asking/finding out.

Edit: Field strength is inversely proportional to magnet size. So you get a much higher field strength the larger the magnet is. Area also has a factor and the shape affects the field lines. Regardless, 1" is exponentially stronger than 1/2" and is larger by several factors to 1/4" magnets. Thus I think there is a legit concern.
