Could do, would be interesting to see what you would make for the walls, shield, sword, skulls?

As for mass produced art I am not sure. You can buy the Pictures as wall papers etc from GW's Black Library, but again print it yourself I suspect.

If where you work, they have a printer capable of doing A3 or bigger, you could possibly print off stuff there in your lunchbreak or something msn-wink.gif

Unless you get really good discounts you could maybe save some pennies and get some GW stuff when you come over here, as I heard its a lot cheaper than buying in Oz/NZ

This is why most of my Space Wolves don't wear helmets!

I have been working on my terrain this week. These are the completed ones.

Around 70% done. Another 4-5 to complete and my terrain is all done.

Then just the table edge to spray and attach to complete.

Any thoughts of what color to paint the edging? Classic black?

Then just several thousand points of space wolves to put together and paint....

It is just industrial waste leaking into the city ruins... so can either be just normal board. or dangerous and difficult terrain.

I was planning to do a random roll at the start on a game to decide how to treat it.

as its on both sides and on the diagonal them its fair to both teams as well.

Working on another piece of custom space wolf terrain......

Almost got enough Terrain for just under 1 1/3 table coverage.

If only painting marines was as much fun as making terrain.

  • 3 months later...

bit of an update... been making a few toys for my space wolf home army "Hel wolves"

all in progress, a couple of electric tealight smoke clouds for wrecks.

Also two Chem generators i'm working on. thinking about using the big on as a proxy for a Chem void shield generator as well.

My assault lord "Old three claws" in there to give a bit of size comparison.

Didnt realise quite how big the large Chem generator would come out.

both made some plastic plumbing pieces from local hardware store.

little one cost about $8 and the big one about $15

also working on some razor wire using tile spacers and twisted wire using a drill.

will post photos of them as well soon.

Love the smoke!  Any tips on how to make it?  Also I like the smaller chem plant better.  It seems to have a better scale.  Both are cool though.  And the wolf heads are super awesome.  I'd paint some sand mixed with PVA glue on it to make to make it look less like plastic and more like stone.  I'd love to play on a table that well done.  I need to reorganize our basement a little to find the space so I can keep a tabletop too.  Very inspiring and great work!

The big tower is only part complete, and only base coated, so it will come alive more once painted.

The smoke is really easy. It is just some electric tealight candles, and pillow stuffing

Glue the stuffing to the candle with hot glue or flexible super glue.

Shape it. spray it was a mountian of hairspray.

Spray it from the the top down towards the base in only the one direction.

I will also add a little spray of black.

Add another metric ton of hairspray... let it dry and set.

I also Like the smaller one better. But the big one was more to add a massive line of sight blocker which I lack in my terrain.

I am confident it will blend on once painted and washed.

If your in Brisbane Australia you are welcome to play on it.

i have been collecting for 5 years and never played. This is my effort to actually get into the game and play.

Also my son wants to start a Nids army so will give us somewhere to play as well.

That's cool dude... I'm planning one day to do a Scotch Tour of Scotland. Spend a month or so just travelling around staying in little towns and doing Whiskey trails.

I should really update this thread with some new photos now may terrain is all done...

Awesome work on the table! Would love to do something similar but have no space in my current flat

thank for the compliment man. WOLF LAIR ... loving that... if you dont mind I will steal that.... while I was born in NZ my family immigrated from Scotland from a town called Biggar. Im hoping to head to you part of the world... Im a big scotch snob.... want to do a tour of the distileries in scotland.

I live in Edinburgh (although originally from Leeds down in England). BUt have a few mates from Biggar. Went to a wedding there a couple years back. Very nice place (although admittedly i did see it rhough a bit of a whisky haze haha). Scotland is well worth a visit though, I came here 10 years ago for Uni in Glasgow and never left :D
