I have been painting some Ultramarines recently. I try and hit a nice middle ground with these between decent paint job and table top quality. Happy with the results! These both took me a little over a day to do. (Which is fast for me! :D )

Another quick Primaris Marine done. I spent a little more time on the face, as it's the focal point, but managed to do the rest pretty quickly!

Beautiful colors. Some bloodstains on the Marine and the very ground he stands on, may improve the model's appearance by justifying the fierce expression on his face.

Personally I think the extremely crisp and clean style that Tzen has for his models suits the Ultramarines perfectly

Glad you like chaps! I try to keep my Ultras without blood or battle damage, nice and clean like Roboute would expect! :D I also rustle these up pretty fast, I don't go to town with them or anything. Gaming pieces :D

The way I do my stubble is I add a small amount of mechanicus standard grey to my second to last skin highlight (70/30 Cadian fleshtone/Screaming skull) and a tiny drop of black. The black is for just toning the mix to whatever shade you want your stubble to be. Once I have got a mix I am happy with, I then stipple the paint as to where the hair would be. After that a few purple and red glazes, and a cadian fleshtone glaze (really really watered down cadian fleshtone) helps to pull the colours together.

Hope it helps! :D I will do a video one day on faces. Just mega hard to film. >.<

LOL. I wish my "gaming" peices looked half as good as these do.

Thanks Syward! :D

Once I have this 5man squad of intercessors done, I need to do 4 more Reivers and then after that maybe some new Word Bearers. Assuming the new Chaos stuff is for generic marines as well as the Black Legion! :D

Looking forward to seeing them. Given how your Ultramarines come out, I bet you're Word Bearers would look incredible.

Well, most of my Word Bearers stuff is very old and is very tired. I promised myself I would start over with them if CSM ever got a decent enough range to support them. I am really hoping they release Word Bearers plastic upgrade sprues to go with the new minis.

Not sure if its even a criticism, but the squad seems to have very different ideas on where to go

Can only wish that I could apint this well. Especially love your faces.

They are all uniquely minded individuals! :D

Glad you like em man! :D

They look fantastic, I really need to get my Primaris painted up, these are inspiring me. :smile.:

They really are amazing minis! :D
