This is the  captain I painted from the Indomitus set. I still need to fix the energy effects on the sword and shield. but pretty happy with him.

I think it can be either. My feeling is that it is actually meant to be a relic of the chapter. As it is a space marine skeleton. It has the power armour input plugs all over it.

I have painted up the new Uriel Ventris model.

This is an odd model. I am not saying it is bad, because that isn't true, and wouldn't be fair. But it just seems like an "odd riff" on a Primaris marine. The shoes are a bit squared off, and the gold trim is pretty unique for a loyalist marine (that memory serves). Again, it isn't bad, just different.

I understand what you mean about it being an ‘odd model’.I don’t dislike the head, but I do think it would be much better served with a suitably ornate helmet. I actually quite like the trim and the fact that not many loyalists have that.

 

Great paint job. You’ve nailed the greens!

 

Is your blue recipe the GW recipe?
