Vash
Hello B&C, I am getting closer to completing my Imperial army, consisting of: - Astra Militarum - Militarum Tempestus - Inquisition - Officio Assassinorum - Imperial Navy Of course it will add more and more units and variations over time, but my first 2500 pts are almost done. In this thread I'll only post completed work. WIP and updates of various sorts will be posted and discussed in my thread in the Astra Militarum sub forum, http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297796-vashs-am-plog-update-counts-as-officio-assassins-p7/ This is a speed painted army, as I am a person with no patience, and also I have very limited time with two smal children and a ton of side activities to take care of. ARMY THEME The army is based around the idea of Militarum Tempestus. I have personally always wanted a Storm trooper army/elite army. But the Militarum Tempestus codex was way to slim to make a characterful army on its own, so I had to implement other armies. Over time it brought in more and more data slates and codexes, creating a mix of a lot of imperial armies. But, in the end I want the army to look elitist and unique. All the entries I have will adopt to the Militarum Tempestus "look". Meaning they will get bits from those boxes to blend in. Also the army wide colour scheme will be following the same pattern. MILITARUM TEMPESTUS CONVERSION I had a issue with the medieval breast plate the scions have. I wanted an army, in my mind, that looked modern, agile and functional. So, I decided to pick up some Cadian boxes and use the torsos there as a replacement for the scions breastplate. It's slightly smaller, but on a quick over view its not really noticeable. Through out the army, I have now kept the army theme. Even the assassins are made from the Scions/cadian boxes. Veterans, while not clad in carapace armour, they have bits from the scions box and I have tried to differ them as much as possible from the standard Cadian soldier. Cutting the shoulder pads to a smaller size, adding arms with the sleeves curled up etc. STRIKE FAST, STRIKE HARD The army motto, Strike Fast and Strike Hard. With this I base my army with the same concept as the Elysians. Mobility and speed. No heavier weapons on the infantry, such as lascannons and autocannons. No tanks, only buggies. Flyers are a common sight, but my army are specialised in fighting in city environment. So I decided to go for helicopters (think black hawk down). Knight of the Raven
Khorne's perky nipples, that avenger counts-as is awesome. And as much as miss kasrkins, those scions rock as well. Vash
Thanks a lot. Not an advanced conversion on that Avenger from the Storm talon really. Just extension of the tail section with plasticard, and moving the weapon racks to the part where the engines would have been. And I too miss the Kasrikins, so I did what I could to honor them :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299235-vashs-imperial-army-am-mt-i-imperial-knights-assassins/#findComment-3861700 Share on other sites
Andromonoid
Beautiful miniatures! I especially like your commander in the Command Squad and the Knight Errant, it's bone-colored faceplate fits so well to the overall blue color scheme. Bravo!
