Slave to Darkness Posted November 21, 2014 Share Posted November 21, 2014 So I have just been sat here looking at all my spare sprues and rummaging through my bitz boxes (seriously need a clear out, my bedroom looks like the GW factory, even the warpgate beneath my bed is full of assorted sprues, gonna baggie up some of the stuff into random selection pack of gubbins and mail them to a few B&C users, then my crap will be their problem :tu:), one thing I did notice, I have 2 Cadian command squads, one box of Cadians, box of Scions, Empire Flagellants, robed High Elf archer legs (pop on a guardsman torso, cheap and easy greatcoat) and a box of Zombies I got the other day (just for a few heads) and a squad of Cultists from DV. Looks like I will be joining the ranks of the Traitor Guard my friends, nothing special, just a simple army of cheap infantry and massed Leman Russ tanks. (Question, In imperial armour 13 do Russ' come as single tanks or squads?) Fluff wise, the force used to be the PDF from a shrine world near to the Eye of Terror, somehow it got sucked in (I'll work out details later) and Nurgle decided he was going to move in, so plenty of fancy looking Religious stuff, I know this would be more suited to Word Bearers, but I wanted to take the shiny religious element of a shrine world and totally mess it up (and I get to deface the shrine of the Aquila terrain piece) to turn something once beautiful (if your in to that kinda thing) into a ruined, crumbling decaying mess. I will have a tinker with some bits now and see what I can come up with. How different is the List in IA13 from the Servants of Decay list in the Vracks book?? I'm not bothered about special rules and points cost, just the units themselves? Weapon options and unit numbers etc, if I work from Vracks will my force still be legit with IA13?? Your fluff start sounds a lot like mine, except my corrupted shrine/cemetary world is closer to Terra. Great minds think alike? Russes are 1-3 in squadrons and have roughly the same options as the main guard codex. I haven't read Vraks in a long time, so I can't help much there. If you go with a Nurgleite warlord you can have 0-1 zombie squads that are better than Vraks ones (FNP 4+). No plague mortars and plague ogryns are awful now. And get wyverns.
