Shotgun Thralls

I'm thinking of using FW Tech Thralls as proxies for SM Scouts in my Iron Hands army. Are the models easy to convert to shotguns? Does anyone have any images of completed shotgun Thralls?

 

Will FW ever release a shotgun variant do you think?

The las-shotgun they come with is probably fine for that purpose. Dunno why you'd want shorties though, they're pretty eh

As Darius said the Thralls with mitralocks are armed with laser shotguns. Not much of a stretch to imagine Iron Hands demanding or being gifted with something like a higher capacitor. Heck it may be something they discovered or created and is under review for further distribution.

Not sure what you mean by shorties though.... You mean scouts?

Scouts themselves aren't good either. They're usually only taken in Allied detachments as min Troops to unlock more powerful stuff.

Ah, okay cool. These were mainly to use up the final 60 points in a 1000 point game. I figured bodies were better than upgrades.

I'd generally be able to find something to do with 60pts, especially Marines, but sometimes it is nice to have more dudes to cap objectives and draw fire. Scouts are very deployable in that regard, so they're great for capping an objective that isn't likely to be contested for much of the battle.
