Badab War for Lamenters

If I could only get 1 Badab War book, which should I get for Lamenters fluff and rules, or is it evenly spread amongst the two?

To answer the OP.  Book 2 has the Lamenters (if I remember correctly). However, I'd get them both. They are worth it.  Also, you can download the updated rules for the badab war through FW's website (although it is only updated through 6th edition last I checked)

The Lamenters rules are actually in Book One.

Confirming that the Lamenters background article is in Imperial Armour Volume Nine - The Badab War Part One (so if you are limited to only one book and your prime decision-making factor is the Lamenters Chapter, this is the one you want).

 

You can find the Forge World update to the Lamenters rules here (they use the Blood Angels rules, so the new codex won't change anything) and the Lamenters special character here (look for Malakim Phoros, the Chapter Master, on page 9).

 

Honestly, if you can get both books, I highly recommend it. There's a ton of great information on the Badab War itself, the Chapters that participated, as well as missions and the campaign. These books, Volume Two (War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes), and the Horus Heresy line are the ones I recommend most highly for general use by Space Marine players.

As Landrick said, it's significantly cheaper to buy the bundle of both volumes than either of them individually.
