The Hydra uncolis. HH: Alpha Legion WIP

Hai guys! Me and some friends decided too start playing 30k, and this was the most perfect moment to play my favorite Legion,The XX legion. 

This army is going to focus mostly on man power so that i can outnumber the enemy, and just for fun im going to throw in a siege-automata and a couple of land speeders.

first thing I started making was my praetor and Exodus.

The legs and the pteruges are from Anvil industry, and the body is the chest from a sanguinary guard without the power nippels

The head,crest,sword and attachments are again from Anvil Industry. Im going to use a lot of bits from Anvil Industry for my HQ's and sergeant's

I tried to making a camo net for them and i think it turned out ok, ill be making a second land speeder next weekend ill uppdate then. What do you guys think about this, all advice and critic is great! I hope you guys like it!

I really like the camp net. Especially the rolled edges. Brings back fond memories of "the field". The legs look good too. I may have to look into the kneeling ones for a rune priest idea I have rolling around in my mind. I'm looking foward to where you go with these.

Nice start. Although I'm not keen on the Spartan helmet, it both doesn't scream Alpha Legion and I just don't like them. But I'm really note rested in seeing how this progresses.

I cut the nipples so it would look more roman ! Im probably going to change the head but then im going to have to order some c:

Quick update:

im puting the first basecoat on my preator while i wait for my last colors and a landspeeders

With some second thughts and feedback im going to change the head for him for a Mk.4, but then i thought i can't just buy a FW command set and stuff it will be to expensive

but then i rememberd the new HH bundels!

The two astartes stood and gazed down on the now silent battlefield. The air was thick with the stench of death and promethium. Commander Arcadius of the Alpha Legion cringed when he saw the aftermath of the slaughter that had happened, hundreds of astartes from the XVIII legion butchered by their brothers from the World Eaters. The astartes on Arcadius side was glaring down at Arcadius almost as he was angry that Arcadius was disturbed. The other astartes white armour was drenched in fresh blood and bore the markings of the World Eaters.

 

-Are you enjoying the the view? The world eater said with an angry tone.

 

-No. not at all, but you did succeed with what I ordered. Arcadius said turning his head from the battlefield as blue armoured astartes started to walk up to the surviving World Eaters.

 

-Did you expect something else? Like some half-arsed armoured assault like our brothers from the Iron warriors would? The World Eater exclaimed angry.

 

-No i did not, I only think your ways of warfare are… well they're something extraordinary. Arcadius said calmly.

 

-I lost many of my best warriors down there and where were yours? The world eater roared.

 

-They were backup, incase your assault would fail. Arcadius said as he faced the much larger World Eater. The World eater stared furiously back down at the Alpha legionnaire. The hot-blooded astartes knew little about the XX legion but knew that they are devious and deadly and would not think to let his guard down in their presence.

 

-But worry not my brother, my legion has sent us reinforcement. Arcadius said positively.

 

 -How many are they sending? He asked.

 

-one. Arcadius replied.

 

-One? Just one? We need thousands if we are to take the bloody bastion! The World Eater roared in anger.

 

-They sent us the best brother. Arcadius said calmly.

 

-It better be someone bloody good, It better be bloody Alpharius himself they sent! Arcadius chuckled at the World Eater’s reply and said

 

-They sent us Exodus, my friend. Not that I expect you to know who he is. Arcadius turned his head back to the battlefield. His men outnumbered the surviving World Eater by hundreds.

 

-So this Exodus is going to take the bastion by himself? the World eater exclaimed.

 

-No, well he certainly could but he won’t because my lord has other plans than to take some silly fortification that The Warmaster want’s us to take.

 

-What? The World Eater snapped as he grabbed the chainaxe by his belt.

 

-You see, when the hydra uncoils it will show its true motive, and you and your horde of crazed animals have no further use for us. Arcadius said calmly while taking his hands behind his back and and turning his head once again at the taller marine. The sound of the World Eater turning on his chainaxe was silenced by the roaring sound of bolter’s being fired from the battlefield downbelow. The World eater glanced down at the battlefield and roared in complete frenzy at what he saw. His remaining brothers being butchered by the Space marines of the XX legion. The World Eater turned to face the Alpa legionnaire and screamed in mad frenzy as he saw the astartes grin and calmly say: ‘’For the Emperor’’.

He charged with all his power but was stopped dead in his tracks by a precise bolt round fired from an unknown direction. Arcadius looked down at the now dead astartes and scoffed with a grin and gazed down at battlefield with pity as the last World eater was put down.

I went for a gladiator like style so hes suppose to be very bloody, might not be very alpha legion but it's a champion.
