Sarchas
My space wolves so far. I have only been collecting them for a few months and I did get distracted by tyranids so thought I would make this work in progress thread to spur me on to finish my force. My first ever space wolf model a few months back was my wolf priest. recently finished my dreadnaught and a Rune priest on a Quad bike and one on a wolfed up bike Part painted Logan Grimnar.... but I am not a fan of the chariot so I might cannibalise the wolves from that and make them in to mounts for an Iron priest So to do list: Logan Harald Deathwolf 3 Thunderwolf cavalry Iron Priest Wolf guard Thunder strike ( 10 WGPA, 5 WGTDA) Rhino 10 grey hunters Land raider Storm wolf Like I said, just using this as a means to spur me on to finishing my company, I love building the models but I'm really slow at painting and not the best lol Comments and criticism welcome Cheers guys Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301272-space-wolves-so-far-pic-heavy/ Share on other sites
PLASTICHEAD
It's nice to see some wolves posted here again, since people seems to be high strung on 30k. (I'm not complaining though - this forum is the first place I look for inspiration.) I really like the bits you chose for your priest, he looks great without being over - tooled. Where does his legs come from? It's nice to see some wolves posted here again, since people seems to be high strung on 30k. Sarchas
space marine captains legs for the wolf priest, was originally going to play Codex marines but changed my mind since the wolves ( I think) have a bit more character to them :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301272-space-wolves-so-far-pic-heavy/#findComment-3905640 Share on other sites
Sarchas
So far I have managed to tick off Harald Deathwolf, just need to finish off his base. And also a unit of Cavalry, here is one... with a couple of trophies from the armies I have won against so far ;) Decided to put off the thunderstrike formation in favour of a unit of Sky Guard. Needed something fast and reasonably durable for the 500 point part of our league. Tried to put some runes and tattoos on the guard, aiming for the Sven blood howl great company look.... even though the rest of my models are Deathwolves. Next up is that Thunderstrike formation! Need to paint a Drop pod, 10 combi-melta Wolf Guard and 4 Wolf Guard Terminators...... lots of work ahead. Sarchas
I should really stop buying new models when I have so much to paint! got distracted by some scouts, these will be my wolf scouts or imperial fist allies depending on what I need them for. I thought doing Cammo would be fun so I wanted to give it a bash! First a forest themed sniper with a ghillie suit Still some finishing highlighting to do on the paint job but it didn't turn out too badly. Then I tried a digital Cammo, both urban/ naval and a desert shade. What do you guys think? the fact they are in cammo and not chapter/ great company colours also sort of justifies using them as both wolf scouts and Imp fist scouts. I know it isn't very space marine like to use cammo and hide, especially wolves who are a pretty in your face army! But I like the thought of the surly old veteran wolves who don't feel the draw of the pack as strongly, striking out ahead of the force and stalking their prey from cover.
