my plan after the casings are done is to wash them back and begin highlights and fine details for the metallic area.

I'm trying to find an equivalent vallejo air version of GW lothern green

Any ideas?

Kurama.... you're a MACHINE!!!

Slipstreams- Cant wait to see all that glorious yellow terminator armour!

Me....Ive just spent the last 2 hours in paint brush bliss- I yellow/sand, first coat of yellow the 8 dudes Im painting up. Hit them with the first coat of metallics on their exhausts, blades and muzzles, first coat of green on the 'nades and lenses and gryphone sepiaed them all.

Waiting on the IF torsos and brass etch to arrive with a mkiii despoiler squad.

I am currently rethinking my list to make it a VIIth/Mechanicum list to use the models I have thus far to the most effect.

Will snatch some shots when the light is better.

So finished work and got back to work on this;

metallic area nearly finished going to use typhus corrosion on the joints then it's back to the base.

@lionofjudah- thanks but I'm no machine just a humble humble man. :P

Still waiting on my orders

Finally The Rock has come back to... my paints has arrived might even get a chance to finish my moritat up tomorrow.

did consider posting a picture of my new paint pots, but thought a few pictures of blutack of my moritat might be better.

just need to paint some barrels up for it then up to the cockpit and Armour sections

after work I'll be picking up my RoB sections from the post office so I'm excited to be charging ahead with gusto

Amazing work as always Gizur. Any experience with that infernos in game? I technically want one, but can't imaging it as ever being great for the points. I would love to be proved wrong though!

Loving the war hound updates Kurama - keep them coming!

@ All excellent progress and completions as always brothers an inspiration

well progress this week with my time off, wasn't as swift as i'd have liked largely due to a pregnant Mrs also deciding to take the week off (shakes fist).

But however subtle, progress has been made on Lord Curze. Armour trim is nearly there, (almost) happy with the blue (still contemplating giving it a purple wash) and then its just the "fun" bits, flayed skin, severed heads etc. Still confident he'll be done in time. Also providing my ebay bits seller comes through may also have a helm'd variant(no self respecting primark would let himself get downed by a lucky las bolt to the eye) lol.

so without further ado i give you (the current state of) Lord Curze

The next 10 take their place:

Tomorrow, I have a really difficult choice - placing an order for Forgeworld. I'm close to having 1,000pts of Alpha Legion and only a few 100pts of White Scars. I plan to have two 1,000pts forces to battle it out. Problem is, I've got a free postage voucher, about £120 to spend and can't decide what to get next?! More Alphas or start building up me White Scars?

The legs are finally done with the last bit of typhus corrosion thank god now it's just the upper torso and weapons.

@thehydra- you can do it brother push ahead and make our colour scheme proud

Oh i cant say. I play very rarely this time and i use only painted Models for my Games so i dont know.

Kor'Vesh and The Hydra: Cheers, the idea was to create a skitarii model that uses the Solar Auxilia rules; this guy just looks too much like a tech thrall with a volkite weapon in my head.  It was a really simple model to paint though, just something didn't work with how the model itself turned out.

Kurama: The scheme was relatively straight forward, involving mostly drybrushing and washes.

  1. Drybrush leadbelcher over a black undercoat-just going for the bits that need to be metallic.
  2. Drybrush ironbreaker over the leadbelcher.
  3. Use a layer dwarf bronze on certain areas and rivets (don't know about anyone else, but half my painting time at the moment seems to be painting rivets).
  4. The yellow on pipe was iyanden darksun.
  5. Wash everything with agrax earthshade.
  6. Wash wires and cables with badab black.
  7. Do simple OSL on certain areas (ushabti bone, with a little bit of drybrush around it, then skull white in the centre of the ushabti bone, then wash with a shade of choice).

Hope that helps.

Not for the Competiotin but i was in a flow.
