OMG, I cannot like that falchion enough! Looking forward to seeing your castellax to complete your vow!

Can't wait for next month, got loads still to do!

You and me both Raktra (though I'll be much slower than you) - just ordered 20 more infantry, with upgrades and another tank... I will actually have an ARMY in a few days, not just a group of random models!

That's because you apply actual skill to your paintwork ;)

That's no poroblem Leontie, just sign up when I open the Feburary thread. A shame you won't make it for Jan. Can we see some pictures of your progress anyway?

Slipstreams - LESS PROCRASTINATION. What would Papa Dorn say? tongue.png

Once the owner of the good Camera gets home, sure. I'd do more, but I actually completely forgot that tomorrow I have work and a concert to get to. and even then, I underestimated the amount.

So guys I have finished the terminators and im waiting on some paint to arrive to finish the Lord commander, I also had my assault squad orders arrive but I'll save them for next months pledge.

I'm also hoping to order another siciran and a venerator

Hoping to get in some paint time this eve... have almost finished my yellows and need to move on to highlighting the black, painting the whites and finishing the metallics. I forgot to prime the boltguns and we are back in the teens temp wise so my guys will only have their sidearms til next month msn-wink.gif.

The mail lady brought fun things to my door... brass etch VII, 5 IF torsos, a MKIII despoiler unit and a MKIII power weapon set. I also have a 7 day work trip in Feb so I that week will be dedicated to painting the seeker unit up.

Some retro fitting plans include, turning the moritat back into an apothecary.

WHilst gazing longingly at the MKIII lightning claws I am imagining the rule of cool overtaking my gamers judgement...- some dood is gonna be equipped for serious picking of noses.

Some Progress - Fatigue getting the better of me; only an hour of work :\

Decided to try something different with the 'Primus Medicae'. Drybrushed on Golden Gryphon and put the first layer of Lamenters Yellow on. May add a layer of Cassandora to the mix, will see but I was trying for a dark golden yellow. We'll see how it turns out.

The power Maul Marine beside him is a test for how many more layers of Lamenters I'll want to add; he's currently at three and it looks solid enough to be a stopping point. The rest in the Background are only at 2 layers.

Haha, too kind Raktra, but you are doing some great painting, and I always enjoy your iron hands!

Castiel is back! Excellent news, just paint one model up dude, trust me, everything is going to count in this fight!

Great work Slipstreams, don't let those traitors in! Both the yellows look great, I rather like the golden version for the primus!

Nice to hear lion and Kurama are close too - we're gonna get through so much this month! Unfortunately I don't have time to do anymore this month, so no more pledging from me. But, luckily for the loyalists it is usually around this time of the month that StruManChu appears with a horde of painted yellow goodness.... no pressure Stru!

Yeah, liking how the Yellow-on-gold turned out. Might be a precursor to the scheme I use for Dorn /swoon

However, the picture looks wonky cuz I took it literally seconds after I put the brush down. So its very much still liquid-and-not-dry. But, looking at it before I left home, it looks pretty solid. Will add another layer tonight or tomorrow and will see how it turns out.

You got it atia! That guys is balling!

You should stop by my thread, a surprise is waiting for you :D

Sorry for the terrible lighting but that's what I get for finishing at 11:00 PM.

Vow complete.

Here's a quick pic of the brothers brutal ready to bring the pain in the next round of practice games.

Cheers!  -OMG

Well as I could have predicted I will not get the terror squad finished. I have not been idle though! I had Angron leering at me unpainted on my desk for some time, so to avoid his wrath I started to paint him. Although I have failed this challenge I wondered if I could post a pic even though it will count for nothing.

Atia - that guy is a boss! Very brutal, and a fantastic model. The other boys on the way?

MoM - don't worry chief, as long as it's not too far along, vow it anyway. We just want to see progress really, don't want the looming end of the month to STOP people painting more!

Wyvern - congrats, I can't wait to see him!

Lukee - do you really have to ask, of course we want to see a primarch!

OMG - so glad you joined in man, those are some lovely castellax. Will we be seeing more from you in February?

I think I should have done him as my pledge. He isnt finished but I did only start him a week ago.

Kor'Vesh I only just noticed you are from Cambridge! Funny enough so am I, even though I now live In Australia. I am back home in the summer, could I tempt you with a game against your Sallies?

Ave Dominus Nox!

Hail The Lord Of The Night!

So here he is in all his grizzly glory, truly was a joy to paint and over all im pretty happy with how he turned out. Not quite there with the face but its the first bare head i have ever painted (why would you wear the most advanced suit of the armour ever known and leave the most vulnerable part exposed :/) so yeah guys lemme know what you guys think as ive said using this to try improve my painting skill so ALL honest C&C is more then welcome

Cheers Wyv smile.png

My apologies for not beign too active this month, but - I have to say - January was terrible :S

But I actually made it, and got the five Iron Hands.

The pics were really bad as I had to take them in the house (we got a camera not-as-good-as-you-think), but if the rain outside gives a pause for an hour, I will try to make some better. I really struggled with these miniatures as I wanted to make them an example of my new army. It is really not as easy to paint black as some might think. And of course I wanted to do them a bit more "colourful", but I think I didn't made it :-) Maybe next time I will do them with some more bronze around the edges.
