Bound and dying the legionnaire laughed through broken teeth "what truth do you want Salamander?". The gauntleted fist crashed in again and bone powdered under the impact. "Where have they gone, traitor". But again, laughter was the only response.

"This is getting us nowhere" brother Ve'Shek said from the shadowed entrance to the cave, "we have other men to question and this one knows nothing". "No, Raven, he knows something and he will tell us where the fleet has gone".

Ribs splintered and Azov grunted as a lung collapsed under the stress, "you know the answers to what you ask" he sputtered through the blood. "Terra will burn as all things burn fool!". His outburst earned him another fist and another spike of pain as more organs ruptured and began to fail. "The truth!" the Salamander shouted into his face, "where has the fleet gone!"

"Ah the truth", whispered Azov, "the Imperial Truth. All Gods are false, all prayers are wasted, all men betray, all is ash at the end of days. Yes, all men betray, isn't that so Rav...".

Azov's head disappeared in a mist of blood and bone. "This is a waste of time and we have other men to question Salamander".............

I, Daemonclaw herald of the true word and bringer of the true faith ,accept my role in this.

I promise to lead the XVII Legion into the zone of war, and conduct them to glory.

I will do so no matter the ferocity or ingenuity of the foe.and teach them the folly of following a mere mortal.

we will bring them enlightenment or the truth in their damnation

I pledge my honor to the XVII Legion.

On this matter, and by the Word, I swear.

Ugh, don't start that business up again.

Frank Castle in space? Yes

Yaut-ja in space? Certainly

A billionaire ninjitsu playboy who's two concrete character traits are "awesome detective" and "non-lethal takedowns?"

Not so much :D

But, OT

@ 200 - That guy looks awesome! I'm glad his little campfire painted up as cool as it did. I love how powerful and hulking he appears. Great job ^_^

@Flint - the campfire turned out better than I expected too smile.png I'm just glad the guy has an extinguisher on his hip.. didn't really notice that until I looked at the pics LoL also noticed I missed his right elbow as well.... I'll get that done when I start adding the glazes to experiment with OSL from the fire (no way I was doing that before I submitted the mini). Thanks for the kind words

I have a question about the months for the XI and II legions, what will happen there? Any chance to rewin those badges? Also, I might just sign up for this month I have a brilliant idea for a filthy heretic. Will vow soon.

Looking at the signature PIP, I'd say the plan on the missing legions is to skip them entirely.

EDIT - Or are you suggesting those vacant months be make-up/do-over months?

The Missing Legions wont be covered by The March, however the 7th and 14th months (May and Nov) will be catch up months where multiple Legions can be completed to bring yourselves up to date.

Cheers,

Jono

So, I had a nice lazy Saturday morning, and decided to get to work on some Word Bearers for the march.

Here's a blu-tak mockup (so excuse everything being that slight bit crooked) of a Mk III Word Bearer - since it's something you don't see often.

What do you guys think? If this gets good reception I will make a squad with this aesthetic.

Seconded.

Those spiky Daniel Radcliffe horns look freakin' sweet, but if you're aiming at an entire squad, I'd dredge the depths of your bits box to see what other types of interesting bits you can come up with.

Are you a Warhammer fantasy fan? There are dozens of unique horns between Warriors of Chaos, Chaos Dwarves, Beastmen, Daemons, Orcs and Ogres.

"We are the the Onyx Flame. We will tear down your walls and reduce your homes, your monuments, your worlds to ashes. We will erase the lies and the the shackles of the false Emperor from the face of creation. From the cleansing fire, from the ashes of deceit, we will liberate mankind to know the Primordial Truth."

So I am a doing a Breacher. A Preacher Breacher. In primodial crimson. So all you little imperial lapdogs can be crushed into the dirt which is as grey as your lack of vision tongue.png

Well, if I like it, I'll do it regardless haha. I'm more just after any feedback to help me improve.

I can't quite tell from the picture but I think it would be pretty sweet if the horns were bursting from the helm rather than being stuck on. If that makes sense. So little bits of green stuff that look like armour pushed out.

Anaziel the Ascended,

Annunake of the Gal Vorbak, Host of "Pehlzepu", "Hellbrute" of the Word Bearers, Ferrus Infernum, Butcher of Armatura, Mahra Gal Dreadnought

First encountered during the Battle of Armatura, the Shadow Crusade which ravaged Ultramar confirmed the existence of this creature and it's kin. It's resembles a early MkIII-Castra Ferrum, but represent a mocking blasphemy of all the Dreadnought once stood for. The flesh of Anaziel, former Terminator Veteran of the Serrated Sun has melded with the metal of the Dreadnought itself so that parts of the machine appear to be made of daemonic flesh. Although his chaotic appereance, it seems that the mind of Anaziel is clear, like his Gal Vorbak brethren. We can only hope that this kind of creaturesdoesn't start to appear within the other traitor Legions .....

I've had a bunch of plastic Daemons lying around for a while now, kind of gathering dust. But they're really nice models, so I did the logical thing and broke them up for parts.

I have big plans for these guys. The horns are perfect for creating some unique chaos helms, and the faces will make scary decorations for armour - because what Word Bearer is complete without an edgy leering daemon face?

Judging by the Weekender, the Word Bearers were quite far gone by Calth. This works for me.

It has always been a journey, a search for belief.

He found it once, only to be shattered by cold logic and hard reason.

Then lost, he searched again with his brothers.

On a far place, out of the corner of an Eye, they found it again.

In a blinding flash of illumination, this belief too, shattered and left him.

The search continues....

I'm not entirely sure about the Mk vii helmet, what do you guys think?
