That look nicely done! did you use the lascannon mounting part to fit the plasma into the turret? i still have to figure out how to mount the plasticard tubes i'v bought into the turret.

So wait predators are actually worth it in HH? That's awesome! I was going to watch fury but because of my schedule I couldn't watch it. Though I did recently watch saving private Ryan( awesome btw!) and the panders in their were pretty cool. Till it got bombed of course.:) I'm planning to use it with whatever legion I choose that and horde of marines on the ground.

 

So what I'm gathering from this thread is that it's good to go with autocannon and lascannon or plasma cannon. Would you ever mix them or would you keep them the same. Also would you give them any upgrades?

Well since they come in squadrons i like to give them the machine spirit upgrade, so the will be able to engage multiple targets (thus balancing the squadron rule).

Also the command tank upgrade can be useful if you plan to use an horde of marines as you say, since it gives you a 24" radius bubble of leadership rerolls from the selected command tank.

 

That said, the most dakka predator is the one with autocannon and requiems (sponsons and pintle mounted) wich gives you 4 s7 shots up to 48" a 9 s5 up to 36". Otherwise i like the one with lascannons sponsons, to deal better with armour 13-14 vehicles, but it depends on how you plan to deal with them (that is you could use other things, like a rapier).

 

I don't really know how viable is an army with many space marines tactical sqads at full complement, but i'm sure it can be quite impressive on the battlefield.

I like to run them with Predator Cannons, naked. That's 12 Relentless BS4 S7 shots for 225pts. They are good for light antivehicle or antimonster duties; they kill a Rhino a turn, or cause a similar number of wounds (less useful in 30K when the only real monsters are usually Castellax; I rarely see Daemons or Vorax in use). It's also only 225pts, and provides an AV13 wall.
