gmaleron Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 Hello everyone, after a few months of debating which legion and list I would want to do I have finally settled upon the Imperial Fists and an army centered around my now FAVORITE Character in the entire series: Alexis Polux. Im sorry a mere Space Marine Captain who nearly killed the hated Iron Warriors Primarch Perturabo and Falcon Punched Konrad Curze (and lived to tell the tale about it) is a bad ass in my book! Now below I have a few ideas that I want to do with this list, primarily centered around the "Stone Gauntlet Rite of War" and would love to have some feedback regarding them. Nusquam Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 Both look like solid lists. First one is hard to crack and the second has a lot of good shooting. Both fluffy. All the AV14 in the first one plus the Typhon would make anyone who doesn't spam graviton and armourbane weep. The second has good shooting and plays well within the game itself. I guess the real question is: Attack or Defend? Edit: Just realized you won' be able to fire the plasmaguns and assault out of the Spartan. Meltaguns might derv you better. jeremy1391 Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 I personally like the first list more, the one thing I would change though is the plasma guns which others have mentioned will prevent assaulting. Perhaps put melta guns on the two small squads in the Phobos land raiders and put 3 power axes on the squad in the Spartan to help deal with TEQ's. gmaleron Posted February 12, 2015 Author Share Posted February 12, 2015 Thanks for the replies guys, always wanted to ask one more thing: -Since this is Alexis Polux and him being a Fleet Master and all that should I consider running a completely different Rite of War and doing an Orbital/Air Cav themed list to fit him better? Slips Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 If you do Orbital you're restricting youself to deepstrikes, 10 man pods or a Kharybdis for 10+ capacity. Beyond that you'll have no tanks and flyers/dread (in pods) will be your only Anti-Armor Solutions. Unless, you stuff Rapiers into pods (the rapier is extremely bulky + 2 crew = 5 slots). Air Cav, a.k.a Angels Wrath means you'll be spamming Skimmers, Jetbikes, Jump Infantry or Non-Jump Infantry inside Flyers. Again, no tanks here.
