Okay enough slacking it's time for something new :D

 

I've been playing around with ideas for a Celestial Lions Librarian with the Bones of Osrak (Imperial Fist CT relic) to vow for the Imperial Fists expansion and this is what I've come up with. It feels a bit light on it's own so I'' going to tack on a 5 man tac squad... hehe, and 5 sniper scouts to give the vow a bit more substance. Anyway pics in spoiler:

Just a little update here, I played around with the armor on my Librarian some yesterday (first time painting blue armor) and I think it's coming along okay. C&C on it welcome. :D deathspectersgt7, thanks I'd love to see more of these guys running around. As it is they're not too common and inspiration for them can be hard to find sometimes ;) I did stumble across some decals for them that I'm thinking about ordering though so there is that at least. Thanks for looking.

If you get those decalsmake sure you get Microset theose decals can be a bit fiddley . And here is a pic of some of mine .

Painted up some sniper scouts today, these Lions need some new recruits after all. Also did a little bit of touch ups on the Librarian so there's that.

 

 

 

 

 

Man I hate doing faces... also while I loved the respirator heads on my Templars they feel a bit off on these guys, probably the gold though and hey they're still way better then the stock heads ;). Now just need to work up some tacticals and get to basing to finish this vow. I'm ready for something a bit more vehicular. Anyway thanks for looking.

Alright! It's been a busy weekend with Halloween parties and birthday parties and general this and that, but I managed to get a little hobby in today. Started basing on my librarian and snapped a couple shots to post up here, decided to try out some floating rocks to show him tapping into his Geomancy (man that discipline looks ridiculous!). I also finalized the poses for the tactical squad, but no photos yet, once I get around to base coating everything and make sure it looks alright I'll get a couple of those too. In the meantime enjoy and thanks for looking!

Extra hour today you say? Okay guess I'll finish up a vow.

 

 

 

Librarian with "floating" rocks... not too sure about the rocks, I suppose they look okay. I thought about doing a glow to them to show the warp powers effect, but I decided against it for now since it seemed like it would be a bit cartoon like.

 

 

Tactical squad with bolters and flamer, second half of my earlier squad with heavy bolter. This one features the squad banner and sergeant also plus they have a couple older mark bolters I had laying around. I figured after Armageddon they're going to be breaking out a couple older toys to use. Forgive this and the next couple pics, it's late and my lighting is not too good, I'll work on better pics of them soon.

 

 

New recruits, sniper scouts with cloaks. Pretty much out of the box stuff here just with a simple head swap. Not sold on the skin tones here, need to play around with dark tones and see if I can improve in the future.

As always it seems like it's been far too long between updates on my plog so to share I'm still alive and painting here's a little update on my Emperor's champion repose and paint to go along with his new 32mm base. ;)

 

 

Still a long way to go here, but it's coming along nicely. Just finished the first set of layers and wash on the armor with my new scheme to be followed with another highlight and details. I'm also going to try something new for the Black Sword so wish me luck there :D. Thanks for looking

Coming along a little bit, trying to get what I can done on him since I've been working some long hours lately. Still trying to get the tabard down on the main body so while I wait for the latest layer to dry I did a little more on some of the fiddly bits.

 

 

Just a shoulder pad and backpack done so far, yeah I paint slow :D anyway hopefully I'll get somemore done on the body tomorrow sp I have something of more substance to show. Thanks for looking.
