Im still working through the red caps but to break it up Ive started on this one

I dont know if I should go pristine with a bit of grime or go all out grubby like my Pask Russ

Starting to do some of the oil washes so you can see it getting a bit grubby

Ive got an update for later but today Ive also decided to enter next years Armies on Parade with my guard.

It may be early but as Im now at 40 infantry, a few bullgryns, 4 tanks (3 unpainted), A Taurox, A valkery, A Knight and the command squad I think I should be able to fill a board.

Im thinking bunker and defence line. I may even buy a bastion

Lots of time to plan so feel free to throw ideas at me over the course of the year!

The Taurox half tracks coming on nicely.

Ive just oil washed the wheels and tracks but Ive run out of Purity Seal this morning so going to have to have a break for a bit until I can get some more

The flash is washing the edge highlights out a bit

I cracked on with the half track last night and took a few photos before I went to bed

Tracks and tyres are weathered. I "think" Im done on the tracks but the tyres just need a highlight.

Some decals are on and the tail lights are about done so Im hopeful this will be done for next weekend

What kind of maniac paints and weathers the bottom of their models???

If you don't paint the entire model its not done ;) Outstanding work, I just wish the various conversion kits were a bit cheaper as this looks really cool...

I looked at all the kits and I think this one was the best at the time

Blood and Skulls have just released one though that looks really good too. Id like to get my hands on one of theirs as Ive got some of his turrets and they are really good.

He also has some great spaced armour for Russ's although they look a bit like Rhinos

These days I use smoke markers to place on top of my vehicles instead of tipping them over ;)

The Taroux does have a fairly detailed undercarriage though.

Awesome work as always UR

Thanks Guys

And thats it.... Ive just ordered an imperial strong point to use in next years armies on parade.

Its going to form the backdrop along with a skyshied (I just need to find one) above the IG base

I have a year to build this then finish the horde!

While I was waiting to pick up some purity seal I thought Id finish this guy off

If anyone doubts his loyalty they just need to look a the back of his head

Lots more plastic turned up yesterday so I now have the bones of my AoP board

I thinking this at the back on top of a cliff edge with a massive door in the wall of the cliff so it looks like the bastion is on top and going down into it.

I can then put the guard on it and in front.

I did have another idea to make it Macragge and have UMs and my PDF mixed as if fighting off a nid attack.

(the desks not normally that messy but I pushed everything back to fit this on.)

Thanks

Its 2 bastions out of the strong point kit. I got one off Ebay for £50 so Ive a load of agies lines too

What Ive done is folded one of the bastions out so none of them have any backs. Im going to seal them up with plasticard to make it ok and to give it strength

Hopefully going to get around to gluing it this weekend

Ive done a bit more work on the bastion.

I wanted to have the side that feeds out onto the battlement to have a door and you cant do that on the sides that have the bolter stations.

I ended up making a blank with plasticard but then needed to support the bolter station above. A flat base was easy but didnt look good so I made a sloped return out of plasticard

Here it is sprayed grey after it was filled.

This means I can have a door that walks straight out onto the battlement.
