Commander looks great :smile.: Are you going to be kit bashing up some more Vets? The SM Scout sprues are great for bits - grenades and pouches, swords you name it Vets will steal it :tongue.:

I have 3 undercoated and ready to go but Im trying to get another tank done at the same time so going to be pulled between the two. Hopefully I'll have 10 vets by the time Im done

I needed to build something and Ive recently won a battered Chimera so I had a go at a turret using an old Baneblade one.

The turret was way to wide so to start with I chopped 1cm out of the middle

and here it is complete with plasticard mods

It looks good on the Chimera I made it for but....

I cant help thinking it looks better on a Russ!

I'd say the russ, but what if you run the chimera in reverse?

Ie try and have the turret positioned further forward, but have the doors / rear of the chimera as the actual front.

What would the cannon on the chimera or chimera itself count as.

Can't wait to see this guy!

Starting to think maybe I don't need to toss my 20 catachans... I may well get something out of them I'm happy with yet!

Well this took me back to painting my metal Dredd minis.

I forgot how hard the clean up is or how sharp the highlight edges are (compared to plastics)

But here we have my first Kasrkin (of 12)

Im not sure if I should keep them "classic" with the red camo or leave that off, paint the right pad blue and blend them into my PDF guard.

Wow -- really impressive work here.

What head did you use for the sergeant with the 'stache? I've got to get me one of those.

Thanks

Its a Space Wolf Marine head with the hair shaved back and the collar cut down and made to look like hair at the back.

If you have a look at the SW space marine head in bitsandkits or another site you will see which one it is. If not let me know

EDIT: Its this one http://www.bitsandkits.co.uk/space-wolf-marine-head-f-p-5470.html

Phenomenal work, Comrade. I was thinking of doing a scheme with my scions once (if) I get them.

Now Ive painted IG, Scions and Kasrkin I find the Kasrkin the easiest to get up to base coat and complete. If you ignore the camo pattern they are mainly green.

This means I can hit it with a green spray base coat and then just pick out the tan fatigues and black gun/boots/belt.

I found Scions really fiddly as there are trims and decoration all over the armour.

After thinking about what can make Bane Bullgryn look even tougher the answer is chain blade!

I think its turned out ok. Here it is pre paint. It needs a clean up but should be painted tomorrow
