Inquisitors and Space Marines

I'm building a DIY Chapter that was absolutely devastated in a major conflict, and was down to something like 160 Marines. In order to prevent dissolution, they kept their weakness secret as they rebuilt. Unfortunately, an Inquisitor discovered their weakness and essentially conscripted him to his service, though he did promise to repay them for their service (not like they could say no, he could easily declare them Excomunicate Traitoris). Afterwards, he told many of his buddies in the Ordo Malleus and the Inquisition often enlisted the aid of my Chapter (I'm undecided on the name) in Daemonhunting, which the Marines were more than happy to participate in, since Daemons were the ones who destroyed their fleet and caused the deaths of almost 800 Marines in a single space battle (long story, totally makes sense when you read it all). Since then, that and the fact that the Chapter was forced to sell their services to Rogue Traders in exchange for gear (drop ships, freighters, even a cheaper design of chainsword), the Chapter has developed an afinity for combating Daemons and have developed a dislike for battling Xenos (they aren't as racist anymore, though humanity is still superior, in their eyes).

tl;dr My Chapter is almost constantly fighting Daemons and fights alongside Inquisitors on a regular basis

So, now that you have some backgroun knowledge, what would be some good ways to field Inquisitors alongside Space Marines? What are good tactics that I could use? What battlefield roles would Inquisitors play (I prefer assault tactics)

The great thing about the =][= is that they can be built as anything!

Fire support? You got Xenos with Conversion beamers, Jokeros, servitors, special weapon acolytes and twin psybolt ammo Chimeras.

Assault? Rad and something grenades that destory your enemies stats with priests, crusaders and death cults.

Deep Strike? Pop your Inquiz in TDA and drop in a mix of the above to screw with your opponent.

Plus, psychic support!

This is about 90% of my army fluff.   My DYI, RG ct, Astartes were brought to the brink of destruction by Hive fleet Behemoth.  An agreement to join the retinue of a Rouge Trader (Ordo Malleus =][= Lord), saved them from their end.  Now forced to keep their total number below 101, they fight on at the beck and call of a "radical."

My basic overall strategy is to use my =][= lord  and Retinue as bait/ (Anvil) in a trap that uses my Astartes as the (hammer).  My Terminator OM =][= lord rides in a Landraider Prometheus.  The Astartes mostly are held in Reserve and hope to hit the enemy where it hurts the most.

Why aren't they getting mind-wiped after each engagement like every other chapter that fights Daemons? I really like the idea of mercenary Astartes basically conscripted into the Inquisition, but I'd reverse the situation and have them be primarily xenos hunters since that fits the 40K fluff a bit better. Then you can paint up your Sternguard as Deathwatch, and incorporate all kinds of xenos tech and trophies into the army as the marines scavenge weapons and armour off the battlefield.

The Exorcists, and the Red Hunters are two chapters that are VERY closely tied to the inquisition in the background. I'll post the Red Hunters chapter tactics here if it's okay, if not you can download them for free from Forgeworld's website.

The Red Hunters Chapter Tactics:

Mnemonic Redaction Protocols: All models with Chapter Tactics (Red Hunters) have the Adamantium Will special rule. In addition, once per game at the beginning of any one player turn, the controlling player may declare that a number of their units with Chapter Tactics (Red Hunters), including Dreadnoughts, equal to the number of the turn being played will have one of the following special rules, chosen by the controlling player, until the beginning of their next turn. For example, if the protocols are activated in Turn 3, then three units may choose a single special rule from the following to apply: • Counter-attack • Monster Hunter • Tank Hunters • Hatred • Skyfire • Interceptor

By this Seal: When using the Allies Matrix, all models in the Red Hunters detachment count units from Codex: Grey Knights and Codex: Adepta Sororitas as Battle Brothers so long as an Inquisitor is also present in the army.

Deep Strike? Pop your Inquiz in TDA and drop in a mix of the above to screw with your opponent.

UNless every model in the unit has deep strike the unit cannot deep strike. None of the units above have that rule.

Tbh that was just quoted from 1d4chan I think, my bad!
