Happy new year everyone! I hope you are all doing great.

 

here is a little WIP of what's to come very soon.

 

I still have to finish the bases (drybrush, the rim, grass tuffs and pigments)

And then I might try to do some hellblasters and come back to some HQ.

Hello brothers,

 

here is something coming along.

and alas I will be able to use the "weapons of the Dark Ages" stratagem with 10 hellblasters and a captain. all from the 4th company.

Those bases are really nice. The contrast between them and the Marines really makes the minis “pop”.

actually the sword is THE thing I am the least happy about. but I have to say it comes out all right on the photo. ;)

there are a bunch of ravenwing as well but they are only undercoated.

 

although I would like to share my latest biggy tank.

 

a fellglaive count-as falchion in 40k with my fellblade you have already seen

You know you're going to get a proper Falchion once that FG is painted up.

Counts as will certainly do until then.

These days it's a bit of speed painting as the big apocalypse convention is nearly there (1st week-end of June).

and 2 aggressors to go with my 4 already painted.

 

I should add company markings, but I don't have time.

I still have some ravenwing and a bunch of characters, and a fellglaive to do in less than a month... (No more deathwatch a friend of mine let me some DAs)

thx Prot. I'll be happy to show you some big family photos next month as I'm taking out some 16'000pts of Dark Angels (with 2 assassins and an Imperial Knight) for an apocalypse game spreading over 2 and half days.

However, I still have some stuff to paint, so here is a little work in progress for my deathwing captain.

 

I don't have Belial. I find the new mini very cool, but not his rules so i'm taking someone else.

Still have to do edge highlights, the bone parts (as on my fellblade), the Doors emblems, battle damages and pigments. And then onto Azrael. So little time!

so, here is the Fellglaive / Falchion in all of his glory.

 

I'll come back to this tank for battle damages, but I'll leave it a bit for now.

 

Then Mister Azrael. he is not totally finished up to my standards. but I didn't have more time.

 

 

And now for a grand reveal.

16'000pts of Dark Angels led by Azrael himself.

 

 

this week-end was a blast, exhausting but so cool. I had to play against heavily armoured Space Marines, tyranids, Custodes a bit, space marine led by Marneus Calgar.

Talking about Marneus, at the end of turn 4, he was with his victrix, 1 or 32 aggressors, a biologis apothicary against my deathwing captain in the middle of the table. my captain was left unarmed. totally saved all the attacks.

 

Another big turn was the destruction of a Thunderhawk with a grenade launched by my eliminators (it was onto 3 or 4 wounds after some big fire). boum turn 1.
