LOVE THE TANK TREADS!!!

Really looking forward to the paint job on the Chappy. Plus I second everyone's thoughts on the dread. You made it so much more functional. Not as much dangling nonsense which is so much better.

Wow, awesome work as always! Especially the Deredero who look a LOT more intimidating that way, what was it you used to extend the legs? Its right on the tip of my brain but i cant place it! :)

As always, thanks for the kind words. It's a labor of love and I'm just happy the lot of you like some of my work.

I know its an older post, but about the centurion with his helmet sitting on top of his head, i got what you were trying to do and i like it a lot. My 2 cents

Thanks for this. I've long since given him a regular helmet. I asked around and the people who understood what was going on loved it, but most people were just confused. So I just went with a regular old helmet :(

Totally want to take my deredero's legs apart now and use the sentinel hinges for the reverse knees... That's sexy! Dig the blood n skulls tracks and the armored tracks on the proteus are sweet.

Mad skills bro

Thanks lionofjudah- and sharp eyes! I did in fact borrowed leg bits from sentinels. It's a pretty easy conversion overall. Probably 1-2 hours of work mostly filing and chopping. Probably the most technical part was pinning the pieces in place. I have one more deredero due for a 'leg job' so I can do a guide if anyone is interested.

With the sicaran, were the standard tracks separate or did you have to cut them off? I thought they came as a single piece with the side section.

Ugh. Don't remind me. All the tracks are fused to the hulls so it was a major bitch to chisel, grind, and file the tracks down to the rollers. I have 2 more in the works, about 70% done, and I haven't the willpower to finish them yet.

Bulba- if you're willing to do a tut on the chicken leg conversion if love to see it step by step.

I can only imagine the special kind of hell that was removing the molded tracks to replace with these machinator beauties... Luckily my Spartan was an old one for those tracks to be applied was easy;)

Update from me. I sourced all the parts for the Deredeo conversion, so I'll have a tutorial together for you gents sometime soon. In the meantime, I need your help. My bases are one of the first color schemes I ever created. Since I painted them back when I was doing individual models, when my army is actually together it all blends together into a blur. Granted, looks really, it looks great on tables with a similar color palette, but that's almost never. I'd like something newer that makes my models pop more, removes some of the noise, and transitions me to 32mm.

Here's my original basing job:

And here are the new candidates:

Which of the new ones do you dudes like? There's two that I have in mind, but I'd appreciate your suggestions and feedback.

Thanks for your help. I really really like the arid yellow, I agree, but I worry I'll make my models blend into my base again. My second choice is the red badlands (but without rocks). Seems like I have to make some tough choices now :sad.:

These are wonderful, at first I wasn't sold on the almost pastel palette but it's grown on me. Your conversion work is stellar and what really makes them pop. I might have to try some Bulbafist-fu on my Land Raiders!

Took a bit of a hobby sabbatical and am finally getting back into things. I got some serious work done this weekend. Besides finishing 6 fully converted vorax I'm getting close to the detail stage on my heretek myrmidon conversion:

These are ending up as some of my favorite conversions. They just feel so heavy and dynamic. The smaller arms will be magnetized so I can swap the photon thrusters for melee weapons. The undersides of the power fists are also magnetized so I can give run them with dual plasma or dual grav.

I did a lot of iteration on my six insectoid robo bastarads. I don't like the stock vorax head and I want to play up my darkadmech theme. This isn't the final product, but just some of the combos I experimented with before finding what worked best.
