Got the Drop Pod finished. I would like to add some transfers at a later date as I can't for the life of me find the ones I had, which is a little annoying. :P

It's only 35pts for us but every last point helps right? :)

Mike.

And to complete the vow:

Can't believe I missed this, looking good!

Have you got a follow up vow planned?

Vow Complete.

Nice colour scheme; would be good to see some more in your next vow ;)

Finished base choosing my captain Karlaen the other night. Washes started.

I'm just guessing, but for my second vow, pledging 10 captains with just bolter and bolt pistol made out of tactical squad sprues probably is not in the spirit of the event? :D

I HAVE COMPLEATED MY SECOND VOW!

Now i need some opinions. should by next three vows be Dante, Memphiston and Astorath, respectively, or should i do only one vow that is a 60 veterans, 5 terminators, and 4 dreads?

Whatever is the most points that you can do within the space of 29 days!

Good work on the completed vows everyone.

Sadly I've failed my personal target of completing my Sternguard by the end of this week. I go on a residential school for a week next week, so lose precious time to complete my vow. I'm still confident I'll be able to get it done when I return, but I think the chances of completing a second vow will be very slim.

Focus on the first one, don't worry about adding points but making sure that the points weve all pledged get done!

I Airman1227 rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete a Death Company, with a power fist, from Blood Angels codex of total value 125 points on or before August 1st, 2015. Success will bring eternal glory to the Shiner Marines and to Sanguinius and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end. PROSIT!

DC

I have completed my 3rd vow.  I'm a bit behind schedule, yay for wedding season and extra homework the last few weeks.

4th vow:

I Xmercx answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete [1 Librarian in terminator armor with stormbolter.) ] for the Nova Angels  [successor Chapter of the Blood Angels ] of total value [95 pts] on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal glory to [All the Sons of Sanguinius] and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

(I'm no good at telling if librarians have the right markings for the higher ranks so leaving as a level one psyker for points, plus the BA dex no longer seems to give a separate name for the higher ranks)

pre pic is posted in the above link as well.

Vow Complete!

Which is a relief, because I didn't think that was going to happen for a little bit.

Sanguinary Priest:  Enjoyed painting this guy.  It's been a while since I painted white.  And I'm kinda sick of yellow right now.  So this was a good change of pace.

Terminator Librarian with Force Axe:  I used the army painter Ultramarine Blue primer on this guy.  I think he turned out pretty well.  The primer itself is kinda purplish, so I was a little worried.  But I hit it with some wash and it got in line pretty good.

Terminator Librarian with Force Staff and Combi-Plasma:  This guy was a PAIN.  I always admired from afar the "Viva Metallica" method, so I decided to try it.  But a word of caution:  don't apply dullcoat to a model using this method.  At least not with Reaper Master Series inks.  The dullcoat lifted the ink right off the model, and worse, it ran into the crevasses.  And because I'm stubborn, I decided not to strip the whole thing to start over.   So this took 80% of my vow time.  Turned out OK though.  But I think I'll stick with the Ultramarine Blue method above for future libbys.

Tech Marine with Hand Flamer and Servo-Harness:  My old Rogue Trader guy!  I harvested the war-smith's backpack for this one.  and painted the skull exhaust like a servo skull controlling the plasma gun.  Let me tell you: the urge to put him on a Goblin Green base was STRONG, but I went with a lava base.  Mostly because I had never done one, and being as I play loyalists, there's not a lot of choasy lava around my guys.  But a tech marine can have lava right?

Disco Lemartes:  He'll see you guys at the YMCA. . .

I will have to think about my next vow, but I think I will try and do a few short ones.  I have three vows left to play with, so I can afford to do little ones here on out just to make sure I don't fall short of a big one with only a month left.
