I took him out for a spin yesterday against some Tau. He punched his way through 5 Path Finders, a Commander Fireblade (?) with three Crisis-Suit bodyguards and finished off a half dead Riptide. What a Guy!

I'm a little concerned he looks too busy in terms of colour scheme, but my wife reckons he looks ok.

 

I think when the colours are properly shaded and highlighted, he'll probably look alright.

I got the basecoats tidied up a little and got everything shaded. You're right, he looks fine now. :)

 

And yes, hah! I've been quietly *ahem* collecting up models to build up an... shall we say, "alternative" army.... You may see me elsewhere on this board at some point!

2. a BA 10-man Assault squad (jump packs, melta, melta, combimelta [or grav pistiol], paxe); and
3. Lemartes; and
4. A Sanguinary Priest (Paxe, auspex, jump pack)

for a total value of 650 pts on or before August 1st, 2015. Success will bring eternal glory to the Blood Angels Chapter and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until my vow is fully completed. That shall be my penance.

He'll be done today.  Hemming and hawing over what color to paint the chainblades on the crozius, since the head is dark bronze.  The glossy spots on his shins are where decals are going.

Brothers! A little known chapter of Blood Angel descent* has sent a squad of their finest first company veterans to aid in the battle against the heretics.

First a before picture of brother Caius, replacing an ill fated brother of the squad who was lost in an accident involving my wife and a glass of lemonade that ended up dousing the squad. One Vanguard Vet with close combat weapon, grav pistol and melta bomb to replace he who was lost.

So I came back to my Mephiston count-as today... Very pleased with how he came out! He looks like the Reaper I wanted him too: A sable cloaked and clad terror with a bone visage and warpflame charged forcesword. He's a little messy when this close up but I like the sketchy style of painting personally.

 

Still needs a base & Power pack though, but the Iron Earth is drying and I'm hopefully going to grab a chaos one and add some cool skull/ chain bit to It with perhaps possibly a grail on top to finish him off tomorrow!

 

Tempted to replace his forward hand with a plastic captain Plasma pistol though, as it looks pretty boss with the text and sight on it, plus will give me a little more colour on the model with blue/ green plasma? Thoughts? Perhaps something for after the ETL.
