Stobz and Master Sheol nice work and even nicer progression. Well, as the Captain said preciously Alea Ecta Iest... The Die is Cast! Girdle your loins! Lock breacher shields! Prepare to repel boarders!

 

Forces of the Imperium (85) and Horus Heresy Forums (95) have more than double or number of participants with the latter making oaths twice the size of our total. The others, especially the Codex Chapters and Blood Angels (seem to have drunk some blood lately), despite having more participants are not too far from our point total.

 

From this point onwards, let us Honour the Captain by achieving 100% completion rate! The watchword from this day forth will be

 

"ALL or NONE!" 

"WE SUCCEED OR WE DIE!

 

For the Lion and the Legion!

Ha! The Dark Angels are still delivering when the others are sitting back!

 

@ Master Avoghai: Was it a nightmare to put together? I heard all kinds of horror stories about this kit... Seems to me you've done a brilliant job assembling it - so any wisdom you care to share would be welcome! :)

 

@ farfromsam: Lovely work - extremely detailed! I also look forward for our new Codex! Maybe a small vow at this point would be the way to go...

It wasn't a nightmare, it was worse! :lol:

 

I've given up the idea of mobile doors. I've glued the front and the back doors to stabilize the structure. I've also included pieces of sprues to support the doors and make the central part more rigid.

 

I've first decided to magnetize the wings to facilitate transport but actually it doesn't help anything and the reactor didn't fit perfectly creating gaps with the central parts. Hence, it was better to pin the wings, and fill the gap with greenstuff.

 

I've used an huge amound of GS to fill the gap on the bottom parts, I was obliged to put plastic card and then cover it with GS.

 

I think it will take less time to paint it than to mount it... But the result is worth it... I think I'll wait a little to mount the raptor though <_<

I have to say, I really like the red DAs Arkley, and I was sorry you took a hiatus when they changed the paint range. But now is good to see you gain at the forefront of the action! Keep it up!

Apothecary has cleared me for "supervised light duty" so I decided to supervise myself painting! Speeders are all done for my vow

apologies for the poor lighting, apparently turning a 12 pack of beer into a light box doesn't work as well as I thought it would

I was just going to suggest counting him as a captain if he doesn't count. I just remember last year all the other forums were painting Cypher to mess with the Cap.

Alright, here we go.

 

I, far from Sam, vow a third time, to complete a land speeder vengeance with heavy bolter before the end of the ETL. Furthermore, as a side vow to my self, I WILL finish it before the new codex touches my hands. This I do vow before my brothers, the lion, and the emperor.

 

Also, has anyone else have to do A LOT of green stuffing to fill the numerous gaps? I just primed it and already have found another gap on a piece were two plates popped apart.

Also, call of the hunt. OUTSTANDING work. Those are beautiful marines, and you should be proud of your work. My concern is plasma cannon marines in robes? Really tempting those 1's aren't you? Or, have you discovered some new tech you'd like to share?
