+++E Tenebrae Lux IV - Realm of Chaos Strategium+++

Well, vow 1 finally finished. That took twice as long as I was anticipating. Sometimes (whenever I have to paint it) I hate my colour scheme.Too many fiddly highlights and details, but I'm usually happy when I'm done.

For my second vow, I think I'm going to paint deamons. They are so much quicker and easier. Now I just have to work out the points.

:O wow

MyDaemonCallista...I'm not sure what to say. I'll settle with some of the best(if not the best) 1ksons I've seen. Lovely, lovely, and lovely.

Slow progress, the rest of the vow arrived in the post a couple of days ago, so now have managed to construct the second 5 man term squad, and make the Raptor poses. Should be able to get some painted over the weekend.

Thanks, SlaveToDarkness & Aeternas. Much appreciated.

I need advice my chaotic comrades.

I have 3 Tzeentch Heralds and a Daemon Prince for vow 2. What's the easiest, acceptable way to represent increased psychic mastery levels?

have fun with the raptors... by the time your finished yyou will have as much hair as me

After that cursed heldrake kit I feel I've lost enough of my sanity to get through the raptors laugh.png I remember I gave up on a previous squad...all those damn details!!!

I don't think you've much sanity left so may as well crack on ;)

My buddy over at GW AMsterdam South represents his Mastery level on his heralds by giving them the staff from the banner tops, and representing the mastery level by the number of Tzeentchian 'swirls' (cut from the txeentch symbol) on the end of the staff.

For the DP, you could add books and scrolls (scrolls are easy: just flatten a piece of greenstuff, cut it into a rectangle, and roll it up. Pur a piece of gs, wire, or chain around it and hey presto) per mastery level.

EDIT:

@MyDaemonCallista. Duuuuuuuude! Those termies and Land Raiders! jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif jawdrop.gif (note that's nine gaping maws for Tzeentch ;))

Also, I finished the build of my Brass Scoprion.

More pics (also of the base without the beast on it) in my WIP thread here

Ans yes, I do realize some of the armour plates are askew, but they're not glued yet... ;)

For those of you in this area July is Relay For Life. (It raises money for Cancer Research.)

My significant other gave me an idea for a penance vow.

I Radagast's Raiders hereby vow that if Chaos wins ETL this year, I will do the following:

1: Develope a 2,000 point, Slaanesh based Chaos Space Marine army

2: Purchased models/bits for said army

3: Paint said army to the best of my ability

4: Either use templates or request help from an artist to free hand the "Cancer Ribbon" as the army's icon.

5: Auction said army and donate all proceeds to Cancer Research.

if you do ill provide a squad and a rhino to the cause. your painting it though :P

I've been looking at the Codex.

I'm currently considering this as something I'll do regardless of whether we win ETL or not.

If we win, it's a definite.

After ETL, I'll be setting up a thread for it.

Started the Dark Apostle and the Masque

Not sure what I'm doing for the Apostles head, sticking with the Hellraiser Cenobite thing but I doubt I'll be able to do a 'pinhead' head that small, I'm sure I'll think of something, eventually.

Ha, thanks! And thanks for the advice. However, I've decided to not bother with extra psychic levels, as the purpose of doing the daemons is they are quick. Faffing about making scrolls and extra bits kinda defeats that. The time I save can be spent painting another model (I have loads).

MyDaemonCallista - Really like the complete vow 1 for your +Tears of Tizca+

Aasfresser - Always great seen the Thasound Son's models from yourself as well, look really cool.  What plans do you have for the Sorcerer?

steve shields - Sleep is over rated :D  Great to see Lord of Skulls.  Is the top part of the model removible?  If so, are you planning on getting the new legs when Forge World release them - Warhammer World open day few week back has a conversion kit for legs version of LoS model.

Metal classic Dreadnought w/Twin Lascannon is almost there.  Just icons to add to the (his) right knee pad.  Just added gloss varnish, Games Workshop water effect & Blood for the blood god moment before taken the photo.

Last part been order today for my Lord, which mean he will get converted next weekend & painted next Wed along with Techpriest for my Dark Mechanicus.

Then I think - Vow 2 will be the Dark Angels Chaplain as the Fallen Angel, bring back this Battle Brother who use to be part of my army 2001-2002.  He will be a Lord & will be from the Black Legion supplament, helping led to a small Fallen Angels allies force.

Just need to wait & see when he going to be release.

Then Vow 3 unless it get done on time as well?  Knight, hopeful going to start converting this model next week.  As of now, I'm waiting on two parts & need to order FW brass etch - Chaos icons.  I'm really looking forward to this model.

excellent work as usual IP, next week I have a week off, so I plan to finish my Lord and a squad of Berzerkers (as a minimum, if the gods are willing, that'll be two squads of Berzerkers) and as such I am still very much in the fight :P

Still needs a few details that i forgot, like the sides plates on the skull that wasn't done in Brass, the eyes of the deamonic faces on the Khorne icon and a thing here and there.

But yeah its essentially finished( does it count?), so what do you guys think?

Early work in progress Lord Kraven Thrice-cursed, the Bloody Fist of Gamalon Prime, Oathbroken.

still needs a lot of work, but here is the leader of my fluffy bunnies as Augustus would say....

CSM OoC Vow 1 complete for 0 points.

Though from different and oftentimes rival Legions, Enion the Meticulous of the 3rd Legion, and Asiah the Councillor of the 17th Legion, can regularly be found operating in tandem.

Both relish in assailing their opponents aurally as well as bodily. Enion with the overdriven harmonics of Drammebrahomme's Unending Opus, and Asiah with droning litanies from the 49th vade mecum of the Book of Lorgar at 170 decibels.
