Thinking of using Skarr Bloodwrath: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Skarr-Bloodwrath  as a DP, despite being a lil' small for most I think. However, his stature fits in my army's scale, a good step between my plastic DP Bloodthirster, and a regular marine.

 

(Once I order one) he'll be mounted on a 60mm anyhoo, due to a flail I have ideas for, so would you accept him as a DP ?

 

Got daemons, got a Wrathmonger-as-Herald, so I need an HQ/model for Chaos Boon. Want to guage opinion before I vow.

Also painted the Fallen Angel - Just need to fix the close combat weapon a bit, didn't notice until started painting. Should hopeful get him finish this weekend.

Tried painting today, brush goes into pot - paint wet, brush touched mini - paint dry. Grrrrr

Dunno what the weather's like in Sweden, but it's stupidly hot here in Blighty. Lots of people saying they can't paint because it's just drying on the brush. Weirdly, I'm having the opposite problem - paints a touch too watery compared to the other day. I might not have shaken the bottle enough.

it got that bad earlier i had to rinse my mouth out with paint water because it was as dry as an arabs sandal... hope its cooler tomorrow so  can paint whilst i still have motivation

Looks like I spoke too soon. My custom mix dried in the palette, I reckon I could easily have done two Terminators as opposed to 1.5 if it hadn't. It's meant to be cooler tomorrow, reasonable chance of rain apparently.

These won't be the best photos I've ever taken, but delighted to say - Vow 1, complete! Thanks to Aug for pointing out that the DPs actually have Murder Swords... error on their weapon choice! Anyway, I've snapped a couple to show the whole lot - I matched it up against my original vow, but please let me know if there's anything missing or I've included the wrong thing and will happily fix.

*Edit - in hindsight, it was probably a bad choice to put the Raptors on the bit of that road tile. At least the trim shows up nicely...

Its hot here, hot like...I dont even know where in the Eye its meant to be hot, but its that hot.

 

I got base + wash + highlight 1 done on 10 Flesh Hounds, but then went back to fixing up 30K bits and models because I literally cannot sit and paint for more than 10 minutes, I just.want.to.die. -.-

I am sorry but I may need to steal this. Just a great idea. Although I won't have the bits to mount the weapons on so I will have to improvise, that never goes wrong when I try it...

Got the brown/bone mix on all eight guys now, I mixed up way too much so figured I'd just keep going. Gonna go back to batches tomorrow though, hopefully get the bone highlights done and the faces started.

Going slower than I had hoped, I always forget how long the gold trim takes. I should be done with both knights and the two tanks (what would you call them? Spartan chasis? Or is there an actual name for those big booty land raiders) tonight. Then I'm off to relatives to blow stuff up to celebrate 'Murica. Should be able to at least base coat the infantry Sunday night though.
