Loving the Skullcrushers Lucio, I really want to get some of those for my own force!

 

I've hit a bit of a snag. I've had my vow completed for a long time now, and I haven't had chance to take a photo, as I've lost the lead for it... also I never took a before photo because of the same issue... I may have to pull out my vow ladies and gents...

 

It was only a Chaos Lord anyway, but it would've been nice to at least complete a vow!

Forté, that thing will come out looking absolutely fabulous. In a putrid, rancid kind of way. I hope it all turns out well - would´t it have been better to make the barriers slightly higher? Or is this annoying 'benefit of hindsight' talk?

Believe it or not, the trick is to have the barrier to the height you want the water level. Then to fill it so the resin looks like a bubble. Resin shrinks as it cures so doing it this way avoids a raised lip (think about water tension).

With the Knight. I was hoping the IW FW Transfer would been out by now. But it seem there not. So for ETL reason, the knight finish. Just I'm not sure when those transfer are release & even then, if there release this week, they'd not arrive until next Friday. I've never really use transfer before & the last thing I want to do is mess up anything on my Knight model. I rather take my time & get it done right.

Gutted, but as said would rather take the time than rush that the last moment. But then again it might not be until the following week they got up for advice order & then take in when the post arrive.

So as said I don't want to mess up.

I've also give the clump foliage effect a try - See Nick Bayton Ultramarines in Warhammer Vision or WD weekly a few week ago. Also the Chaos vs Ultramarine diorama from Warhammer World. Just somthing I wanted to try out & tie in with the IW current home planet in the Eye of Terror. There pinned in so I can remove them when carry the Knight to games. Still some tidy up but I wanted to try this out.

Today been spent painting the last two Havoc Battle Brother & the unit Champion. My local store was not open today, so just stay home & pretty much painting solid from 11am to 7pm, then going on the PS4 for Assassin's Creed unity

Last week that my wargaming club, a friend had given me a box filled with 2nd ed era classic metal models. There was Havocs, Bloodletter, Horror & a Sorcerer - one my favrout Sorcerer model.

I added the type Sorcerer model to my IW back 2002, day before Conflict Scotland just because I though he was cool. Krull went on to be a big part of my IW army & history. So this is going be a updated display version. I do have a more updated plastic conersion version I done a while back.

But be cool paint this metal version as said more updated.

So thats a total of 4101pts this ETL and also the completion of my Soul Vow

Victory is ours brothers, all we have to do is TAKE IT!!!

Thanks again to Captain Semper for running this glorious event and making it possible for me to be this productive with a purpose

(Need to get hold of some more Chaos minis for next year now, maybe a few thousand points of Daemons.....)

Lots of sanding had to be done on the plinth thanks to the water effect resin getting out. But of varnish, black paint, and stick the arm on and he's done. Then he'll be sent off to join a raffle for a little girl called Poppy who has cancer. If you want to know more on that check 'Poppy's Angels' group on Facebook.
