The grind continues. Last week was....not good as my shoulder actually was just not working out even for sitting and painting... Today however has been excellent so far and I should finish 8 CSM, while I wrapped up building the last 5 dogs, and (with much hate and cursing) the bikes I'm trying to salvage from a very disrespectful owner. :p

On a serious note though,

I'm ecstatic to have been along for the ride with the Chaos Forum again this year in what has to be my most hobby productive 3 months ever.

I look forward to our approaching victory dance knowing that I have done all I can, now it's just the waiting.

Awesome work left right and centre, with special props to Cap Semper for holding this mess together during some heavy RL stuff going on over there.

Looking forward to next year now, by which point I will hopefully have picked up some more models :lol:

@Scribe, I know themfeels when you have to fix minis that have been mullered by the previous owner, my 'nettes looked like they were dipped straight into the pot with mould lines still on, after a dip n strip and a clean up they were still a mess. That's why I just dry brushed them and called it a day.

For this very reason I never ever buy second hand models. Even if they're advertised as 'only' 'built' - because by 'built', a previous owner could mean 'clipped of sprue, soaked in plastic glue, and thrown together.' I'd rather go China than buy second hand.

So cool! I really love how you painted the disc and the scorpion familiar. The sorc/Herald looks fantastic too. Space marine libis in PA are so easily and nicely convertable as Thousand Sons.

AHEM.  I believe it is time, with less than a week left, to make ONE FINAL RIDICULOUS UNOFFICIAL MOTIVATIONAL VOW, in the vein of the soul vow, or my vow to paint more than Forté.

 

As we all know, the old B&C sure has been straining at the seams lately.  I have to imagine this place could use a juicy influx of cold hard cash to keep the boat floating!  Now, we all know that we could donate if we wanted to help, but who has money these days?

 

Well, I do.  I have a whopping $50 american smackers.  Imagine me flipping through my impressive stack of ones as I stare down at all you poverty stricken peons.  Yes indeed, I hold in my hands the very salvation of this website, but I'm not going to give it up for free, chumps!  You've got to EARN this plush stack of boonbucks, and how will you do it?  You guessed it!  You've got to earn them by WINNING THIS THING.

 

 

That's right, fellow Chaos players!  If we pull this off, if we win the ETL for a second year in a row, I, Malisteen, will personally donate FIFTY AMERICAN DOLLARS to the Bolter and Chainsword Forums, single handedly saving this gods-forsaken train wreck of a web site.

 

 

So if you fail in your vows, you're not just letting yourself, your faction, and your subforum down, you're letting down the entire bleeding site, as well as the entire online 40k community who look to this site for strength and inspiration.  Could you really live with yourself if that happens?

Bloodletters almost done. Waiting for a break in the weather to undercoat berserkers. Plan on finishing letters 1 tonight, basecoating and washing letters two and spraying the berserkers. Then I can just work on those two units. Only 17 models, it'll be a doddle (let's forget it took about 2 months to do 2 bikes).

@Andra'Melek: Great! Quick tip: spray indoors, but out the window, and then set your models to dry near a temporary heat source like your radiator. Makes your basecoating opportunities less weather dependent. :tu: Also: your Soul is in the hands of the Gods, good luck on earning it back this week ;)

I'm thinking about a final three small vows: having most of this week off on holiday helps. Although, I wanted to do two Imperial Knights, but I'm totally out of black spray paint... I've got a Daemon Prince, some Plaguebearers, and about ten Havocs I could feasibly do instead...? Just working out practicalities.
