@ AlphariusOmegon108: Congratulations! A huge vow there - and was completed in a very timely fashion. Bravo! Now I noticed that both your vows were pretty close to the 3,000 limit - a limit that would grant you the badge of the Hero! If this was intentional, fine but if it was an oversight for you, I'll be happy to accept a small 65pts adjustment to make it to 3,000. Can you bring forward a single Centurion?

As we enter Week 3 we come face-to-face Week 3 Blues! That means that there is a sharp drop in new recruits before it speeds up again in Week 4. Now if you can maintain the flow of new recruits and avoid the blues you'll be in a much better position once Week 4 hits! Keep this in mind!

Well, had to slow down with the painting this weekend. Had a trip up to Warhammer World for the Grand Opening yesterday. Some impressive sights there and it's looking very sleek there. Managed to snag myself a copy of Tempest (darn, the Ultramarines are tempting) and Meduson to give me a break in between painting.

 

Here's progress on the Death Guard so far. The first 20-man Tactical Squad is pretty much done. Just need to gloss varnish the eye lenses and glue on the guns once I've done the silver on them. Happy with these chaps, though the next tactical squad will have variations on where the green and brass is.

 

At the bottom is what's next for my Death Guard; a Librarian (I know, Heresy) and a 5-man Heavy Flamer squad.

It does. Done the oil washes before but the powders are a newish thing. A bit nervous, kind of wish I tested it on a rhino first.

Rhino completed... a lot of work for 35 points! But my first vehicle I can confidently say is DONE. Not much like lots of other stuff I've seen around here, but I'm pretty happy with it.

PC crapped out on me, well a windows install did, so my posting has been delayed a little bit. So I used my time productively. Images ahoy. Kheres autocannon Contemptors completed!

I saw the request for higher quality stuff, I'll update my Imgur folders with all my decent pics because I can actually push the filesize limits there, once I actually get unlazy enough to fix this install. At the moment it's just helping my distraction, now if only I could avoid work for long enough to make more progress!

Next batch, Two CCW Contemptors, and a Dual TL Lascannon Contemptor-Mortis.

@richmarine Interested to see the results of your weathering when it's done! Don't worry, a Spartan is for sure the only way to go as a training tool! If nothing else it will force you to be careful.

I've moved it on a little bit since this image, with all of the green and black highlighting done, so I'm getting towards the details and then the free hand work. Its great to paint, and it will be done this month!

Second that. I'm really enjoying the Sicaran I've been painting up for the XVIII^th. There are just so many little tid-bits to the sculpt that, while not 'jump out and grab you', make the model seem real. The treads that aren't aligned, making it look like it's taken a few more turns to one side than the other. The turret gun ammo that has a half shell difference in the feed, letting you know that one gun fires while the other loads.

 

My girlfriend is getting tired of me interrupting her when she's on the computer (Me: "Oooo, Babe! Check this out! It's awesome!" Her: Eyes roll while glasses are slowly and deliberately set on the desk as the chair turns.)
