@kizzdougs - I'm honestly very impressed by that custode. I usually like your painting but I think you've blown it out of the water with that simple and clean conversion. Such an intelligent use of pieces from several ranges make for a very effective presentation.

 

I've seen a few conversions with the Storm Wardens from AOS but none of them really hit the mark the same way this one does. Cant wait to see it all painted up.

I have almost finished my vow, just four outriders missing.

Exam day is approaching, so no painting this week...

But I'm confident I can get them done before august.

Note: Freestyling an Autum/Fall Camo Scheme? Not that Easy... Turned out decent though...Still...it kinda looks Lazy >_>

Final Edit: For those wanting to make Seekers using the FW Combi-Weapons and Recon Marines like I did, a Warning: The Arms of the Recon Marines aren't really made for such a Tall gun like the Combis so the posing on some of them can start to get whacky at points.

I Kizzdougs rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete one Legion Praetor from HH book 1: Betrayal, to the total value of 170pts on or before the 1st of August 2015. Victory is preordained and will prove the primacy of the Emperor's chosen Legion, the glorious III.

Thanks, bro! I'm hoping that I'll be able to get most of him done over the week (if everything goes to plan). The sheer amount of gold is slightly daunting. It's going to be difficult to effectively break up the gold with other colours.

865 points of angry Fists added to the Team Heresy, ready to destroy Heresy and Chaos!

 

Just to remember, here is the unit : Legion Terminator Squad of 10 men with one heavy flamer, 3 chainfists, 10 Vigil pattern storm shield, 10 Cataphractii pattern terminator armour, sergeant with Thunder hammer for a total of 525 points.

Plus, a Spartan assault tank with armoured ceramite and a flare Shield for 340 points.

 

There is a slight difference of 5 points between my initial vow and the result because I changed a plasma blaster for the heavy flamer. I wanted to put a dozer blade on the Spartan but I absolutely have no idea how to do this, since I think Rhino's blades are too small for such a large tank. Hope this is OK with you Cap' ? If not, I'll try and find a way to get 5 points more.

 

There'll be more pictures to come of these guys on my WIP thread.

Vow 2 Complete. Been a pleasure to post alongside some awesome minis. hopefully one day i'll meet them in battle for the Warmaster. in the mean time i still have a Sicarian battle tank to paint and 5 more Reavers.
