Cheers both. Just got a reply from forge world. They're sending me replacements for the Gal Vorbak, not sure exactly what they're sending (I sent photos of the damage and there were bits missing). So I might have an additional 5 possessed!

 

Edit: Flesh Hounds are made but need to choose bases. Use 40mm I have or buy bike bases? Not sure if I have enough 40mm actually.

So, after sending photos of the mold slip for my Gal Vorbak (which I didn't think was THAT bad, I've ignored worse) has resulted in a new set being sent. So I'll have 10 possessed, although the 5 dodgy ones will need a fair bit of work to make them distinctly different. I'm still missing a head and arms from one guy but I can work with that when I've got 4.7 Models for free.

 

And tonight I'm working on finishing the rest of the cultists.

that ... öhm ... dude? looks cool so far, but tbh i would go with a bigger base ^^ (but i also gave my bloodletters 32mm and my bloodcrushers ovale ones ... well, i don't care for their original base size aslong as it looks great and fits with my ZM xD)

Yeah, I kept the Bloodletters on the 25mm because I wanted the marines to look bigger. I'm going to make the spawn more upright so the base should fit.

 

As for the bases it's just cork with a bit of plastic putty in the lava areas. Then roughly paint up from dark red to orange and spots of yellow. Need to touch up the edges with black but I can do that later.

Other suggest it was simply a scavenged carcass, the previous inhabitant pitched into the blood soaked mire that battlefield became. What ever he was, whoever he owed alligience to is now forgotten. Only battle exist for him now.

Just doing the bases for the 3 hounds and the spawn so I thought I'd actually do a WIP. So here are the four bases with the Vallejo putty. Just a piece of shaped cork with putty smeared on the spaces.

2. Light overbrush of Dawnstone

3. Khorne red on the lava and light touch on the edges of the rock

Wow!!! Love your conversions here (especially the Soul Grinder - not seen anything like it before, so original)! The use of Age of Sigmar stuff is brilliant! And all painted so nicely! Really looking forward to seeing it all together!

 

How was the Bloodthirster to build and paint? Keen to get one myself, just waiting to see if there is any truth to the new Chaos Marines Codex this Autumn in case there is new stuff to use all my money on instead haha!

Cheers. I thought the soul grinder was original and Atia posted a video somewhere of someone else's army which had done the same thing.

 

The Bloodthirster is lovely. Loads of options and loads of bits. I'd consider the Skarbrand box, although the wings would be damaged. The legs are better IMO.

 

Edit: I went naked with my BT. No chest armour or trinkets. But there are loads.
